The client was referred to us by the builder to build a vacation home where the family mobile home used to be. Together, we visited Key Largo and once there we understood that the most important thing was to incorporate nature and the sea inside the house. A meeting with the architect took place after and we made a few suggestions that it was taking into consideration as to change the fixed balcony doors by accordion doors or better known as NANA Walls, this detail would bring the ocean inside from the very first moment you walk into the house as if you were traveling in a cruise. A client's request from the very first day was to have two televisions in the main room, at first I did hesitate about it but then I understood perfectly the purpose and we were fascinated with the final results, it is really impressive!!! and he does not miss any football games, while their children can choose their favorite programs or games. An easy solution to modern times for families to share various interest and time together. Our purpose from the very first day was to design a more sophisticate style Florida Keys home with a happy vibe for the entire family to enjoy vacationing at a place that had so many good memories for our client and the future generation. AM2245 ROCK DROP LIGHT DESCRIPTION: The light installation is a chandelier with deliciously unique lights that celebrate the fascinating nature of the rock, where no rock is the same as the next. When you see a light sculpture designed to increase the visual appeal of a room and define its luminous character, you stop on your way to admire it. The word "crystal" comes from Ancient Greek and it means ice which is, similar to real crystal, characterized by purity, clarity, and coolness. Greeks were always surprised when ordinary water turned into "rock". But they soon discovered that something resembling ice can be found deep in the mountains – they found colorless, pure, transparent, and cold mono-crystals of silicon dioxide. After living with the average master bathroom designed by the development company of their condo, my clients decided they had had enough. Longing for something sleeker, more modern, and with some style and flair, they hired me to create a space that would feel welcoming but unique. At their request, we removed a rarely-used bath tub and replaced it, and the adjacent small standing shower, with a much more spacious wet area. Both a vanity scaled for the room and its undermount sinks make the counter area seem roomier as well. New LED light fixtures, and mirrors outlined in oil-rubbed bronze to coordinate with the faucets, shower hardware, and vanity handles and towel bars bring a crisp, clean-lined sense. A deep, moody color on the walls and a fascinating, mineral-like wallpaper in the water closet serve to make this new master bath feel like a suite in a dramatic, contemporary hotel in New York or London. Design ideas for an eclectic drought-tolerant landscaping in Los Angeles for spring.

This project was exceedingly challenging because of several factors. For starters, the lot itself, and all access points, were very small and cramped, requiring close management of in and out with equipment, materials, etc. Next it was also challenging because our customer wanted a very clean, classy look with many extras and details but also had only a very modest budget to work with. Finally, however, the greatest challenge was that over 80% of the space dedicated for the pool was only air. The customer literally wanted the pool situated over a cliff. Indeed, they even had another person from a different pool company tell them this couldnt be done in this part of the country; People only do this stuff in California! To overcome these obstacles, we made three very important decisions. We worked with a local engineer to design a poured-concrete wall system that would be both secure and able to become a portion of the pool wall; this then allowed us to put the wall right at the lot set-back line, which maximized every bit of available space. Next we chose to construct the remainder of the pool walls, steps, bench seat and tanning ledge with steel, and finish with a vinyl liner, in order to reduce overall costs and stay within their budget. Finally, a vanishing edge would have been ideal for this site, but again spatial and budget constraints made this a non-option. However, to try to create a strong focal point at the far corner of the pool we dropped the wall (tricky with vinyl!) and used glass block (with a Bright-white sanded grout joint) as coping material. The fountain at the end of the pool was custom-built on site with Basalt stone from the state of Washington and is completely self-contained. The fire feature on the far side completed the work of leading ones eye truly off into the sunset. Our customers were quite pleased with the result. They were able to accomplish practically everything they had wanted to do from the beginning, they were able to stay within their budget, and they were able to do all this right here in the hills of Pennsylvania.
