The primary bathroom’s grounding charcoal palette contributes to a spa like experience. The Pietra Grey marble used in the shower and vanity carries over into the window casings. A steam shower custom designed with Pietra Grey marble features a folding teak bench to maximize space when not in use. Rounded edges soften the look and nod to the arched windows and doorways.

Danielle's master bathroom was reminiscent of the early '90s, marked by outdated colors and a lack of functional space. The shower was enclosed by walls, and the old bathtub dominated the room, leaving little room for a modern look.
The cabinets, a nostalgic nod to the bathroom's past, were retained and given a fresh breath of life with a refinishing semi gloss. This deep, elegant tone looks fantastic with the Carrara Bianco Quartz countertop.
To enhance the functionality and aesthetics, Danielle chose two Kohler flat framed accent mirrors and stylish Delta Kayra faucets. These elements blend seamlessly, contributing to the bathroom's contemporary vibe.
Lighting was key in this renovation. Two Remington vanity lights were installed, casting a bright and sleek ambiance. This choice of lighting not only illuminates the space but also highlights the bathroom's new features beautifully.
The centerpiece of the renovation is undoubtedly the custom shower. Adorned with Smooth White Matte and Hex Matte White Mosaic on the floor, it exudes modern elegance.
The Costello Hexagon Mirror Mosaic in the wall niches adds a touch of luxury and the glass enclosure around the shower amplifies the sense of space, making the shower area both a focal point and a retreat within the bathroom.
The choice of Splendor Oceania Porcelain Tile for the flooring ties the entire room together with its subtle yet luxurious appearance. This tile choice not only complements the overall design but also ensures many compliments.

This client is in the beauty industry, so – in additional to great style – she has more beauty products than most people do. Before the renovation, there were products all over the counters and in temporary roll-in shelving units that got wheeled into the bathroom.
It was time for a change.
Design objectives:
-Add tons of storage
-Feature blingy, reflective materials
-Improve lighting
-Omit unused built-in tub
-Create a large luxurious shower
-Include large mirrors to the ceiling
THE REMODEL
With the right storage solutions, a bathroom loaded with products and gadgets can look virtually empty. Elegance and order contribute to living life artfully.
Design challenges:
-Standard vanities don’t offer much storage
-The existing window was in an ideal spot for a shower
-The client prefers large mirrors, so we needed an alternative to medicine cabinets
Design solutions:
-Replace the existing window with a waterproof privacy window
-Create dresser-style vanities with u-shaped drawers for maximum storage
-Include a tall cabinet with roll-out shelves for maximum storage and organization
THE RENEWED SPACE

Before – Master Bathroom: Outdated and in Need of Renewal
Before the renovation, the master bathroom featured outdated double sinks, old cabinetry, and poor lighting. The mirrors and finishes were worn and no longer aligned with modern design standards. The shower area had dark tiles and an undersized niche, contributing to an overall dim and dated look. The space not only felt aged but was also in need of repairs and a complete transformation to meet current functionality and style.

THE RENEWED SPACE
Beauty products and daily needs are organized and out of the way – out of sight but easy to access. With a creative, modern palette of colors, patterns and textures, the bathroom’s aura is inviting, relaxing and luxurious.

THE SETUP
The original primary bathroom was characterized by a disjointed and segmented layout. The shower featured a bulky glass-block enclosure that overwhelmed the space visually. There was a considerable amount of open, unused space, and despite having a his and hers vanity, the arrangement lacked personal space for each user, as they shared the conjoined space between the sinks. The toilet was inconveniently located right by the door, with a half-wall partition meant to provide privacy but instead contributing to a cramped and unbalanced feel. Overall, the bathroom’s layout and design were fragmented, failing to make the most of the available space and lacking adequate storage solutions.
Design objectives:
- Reconfigure the layout to enhance functionality and flow.
- Create an elegant, upscale aesthetic that is light and bright.
- Incorporate specialized storage solutions for female hair care needs.
- Increase overall storage capacity.
- Develop a spa-like shower experience.
- Provide a significant wow factor to the space.
THE REMODEL
Design challenges to be solved:
- Repositioning the toilet to a more suitable location.
- Designing hair care storage solutions without cluttering the elegant space.
- Balancing an upscale, elegant design with a feminine touch in the color palette.
- Increasing the brightness of the room without adding windows.
- Completely replacing the existing shower to create a spa-like experience.
- Planning new storage solutions without adding bulkiness or clutter to the cabinetry.
THE RENEWED SPACE
Design solutions:
Toilet Relocation: Moved the toilet by the window, creating a better overall layout that also opened up two full walls for cabinetry and storage solutions.
Specialized Vanity Storage: The left side of the left vanity is the wife’s. Open shelves facing across the vanity can be used for decorative or daily needs items. Pull-out docking drawers with power outlets and metal basins handle hot hair appliances.
Bright and Elegant Color Scheme: White cabinets, countertops, floors, and shower walls keep the space bright. The just-off-white wall color with a hint of pink adds a feminine touch. Thin wainscoting with white trim offers traditional-leaning elegance.
Layered Lighting Strategy: Ceiling can lights, sconces, lighted mirrors, and toe-kick lighting were installed. Natural light-rated bulbs keep the space bright and natural-feeling.
Spa-Like Shower: An extra-large shower was created using the same floor tile materials for continuity. Equipped with a Kohler Anthem system with a shower head, hand-held, and four body sprays. His and Hers niches for separate body care product storage.
Enhanced Storage Solutions: Added a linen cabinet within the vanity area for efficient storage of towels and bathroom essentials.
This elegant bathroom feels incredibly spacious now. The color palette and lights keep the room bright and cheery. Gold fixtures, the herringbone pattern on the floor, and exquisite trim work add an elegant touch. With the husband and wife having their own vanity wall sections joined at the corner, each user truly has their own space within the space. The clients are very happy with the final result.

This serene and modern primary bathroom brings together elegance and functionality in a spa-like retreat. The centerpiece is a freestanding soaking tub positioned beneath a large window that floods the room with natural light. Dual vanities with crisp shaker cabinetry, matte black hardware, and round mirrors offer symmetry and storage, while a large glass-enclosed walk-in shower provides a luxurious, curbless experience.
The shower features sleek white herringbone wall tiles, contrasting beautifully with the black hexagon floor tile. A built-in quartz bench and double niches add comfort and convenience, while matte black fixtures lend a bold, contemporary touch. Every detail—from the soft gray wall paint to the clean-lined plantation shutters—contributes to the timeless yet modern aesthetic.

The guest bathroom was completely transformed with a built-in Seville slab door vanity, a shower featuring CTW Splendorous tile, and a herringbone-patterned Castelli Marble floor, all contributing to its fresh, modern look.

Bold accents in the open loft contribute to the modern aesthetic of the home.

A daring combination of forms and finishes yielded an exciting contemporary/industrial hybrid. In a converted wedge-shaped factory building, this loft’s quirky shape was celebrated, not disguised. Contrasting flooring demarcates what is, in fact, a literal work triangle. The island’s unusual five-sided shape proudly reiterates the room’s footprint; the three waterfall ends accentuate its one-of-a-kind geometry. Four different materials were chosen to establish a playful dialogue between light, dark, and texture: caramel-stained rift cut oak on open cabinets; matte charcoal gray paint on tall and wall cabinets; brushed bronze oil-rubbed wire mesh inserts for bases; and panels in a laminate resembling knotty weathered wood. White quartz countertops provide a unifying feature. Open cabinets are singular for their asymmetrical placement and, in some spots, open-ended configuration within the tall units.
The breathtaking dining table was fashioned from two free-form live edge planks, joined by a ribbon of clear epoxy resin, thus creating the illusion of a stream meandering through fallen trees. Black elements contribute an industrial edge: an open-framed metal wall shelf over the sink; iron table legs; a mix of dining chairs in mid-century wire mesh, molded plastic, and retro aluminum; and machinery castors on the low-slung coffee table.

Franklin County's Leading General Contractors - 2X Best of Houzz!

Richard's master bathroom, initially envisioned as a contemporary Italian aesthetic, was compromised by the disappointing results and challenges faced with a previous contractor.
The space was incomplete and lacked everything he yearned for. Issues like a cramped shower area and a bathtub that he never used contributed to a room that felt more like an afterthought than a retreat.
The shower stretching elegantly to the ceiling is the heart of this transformation. It’s a masterpiece of the design featuring the stunning Sterlina II Ivory porcelain on the walls and niche, exuding a sleek, modern feel.
The shower’s dry-off area provides embodies a thoughtful design with the needed convenience for a door-less shower entry. Accentuating this area is the unique and captivating Diamond White Wood Marble tile running along the wall vertically to enlarge the feel of his bathroom.
The Pietra Italia Mosaic adds contemporary luxury to the shower floor, while the frameless glass panel adds to the illusion of an expansive, uninterrupted space.
In the vanity area, Richard selected Waypoint Cabinetry in a Cherry Java finish, which paired with the shower's accent tile, create a cohesive look, enhanced by the walls and ceiling in a soothing Dove White paint.
The floor tile in Pietra Italia, matches his new shower floor and ties the room together, striking the perfect balance between elegance and modernity.
Richard's experience with PHR went beyond renovation in restoring his trust in the design-build process and transforming his master bathroom into a luxurious, functional, and personalized space.
