This eye-catching house and shop in Kent Washington has 14 different skylights. The roof had been on for about 20 years and did a great job but was close to exceeding its lifetime. Shake, copper flashing and ridge cap detail on a traditional Cape Cod residence in Fairfield County where we recently installed a new western red cedar roof. The primary residence possessed a multi-pitched Gabel Roof including multiple dormers. All valleys and protrusions were flashed with copper; we maintained the original chimney flashing after placing new mortar as required.

Removed siding and roofing at dormer wall. Installed ice guard,new flashing and shingles and waterproofed wall. Also installed 6 inch gutters and spouts and 240 volt Raychem ice cables.

Replaced old shingles with white cedars at approx. 5" exposure. Replaced aluminum step flashing with copper step flashing.
