I had a home with a bedroom/office, a utility room and bathroom which I remodeled into an in-law/aupair suite. After a nice craigslist find with some 19th century barn doors, turning the bedroom doorway into a closet/stackstone fireplace and a following a structural engineer's advice on properly creating an opening in a load-bearing wall, the result is in the pictures.

All of the modern elements intertwine and weave together framing the view while drawing the lake up to the porch and finally connecting to the sky. ©Shoot2Sell Photography
