At 35+ years, this Ft Worth lake-home is wearing it’s age very well. To freshen up the surrounding landscaping and supporting elements, our clients dreamed of an avant garde look for both the front and backyard outdoor living space that tied together. One Specialty designed a re-imagined driveway, address monument, welcoming area and Xeriscape landscaping for the front. We constructed a multi-level deck made with Trex, complete with an outdoor kitchen and outdoor bar in the backyard, resulting in multiple vignettes for entertaining which are fully wheelchair accessible. After discovering a flue, we realized that the initial layout of the bathroom needed to be reconfigured. This required a few changes to be made to the existing layout, including relocating the toilet to its intended location, shifting the doorway to the left of the flue, and moving the lavatory. One of the unique features resulting from the flue redesign was the creation of a toilet nook.

To address our client's needs for a self-contained master suite renovation, we designed a plan that included a sunroom with ample eastern light, built-in bookshelves, and a stunning view of the backyard. Additionally, we created an open bedroom that took advantage of natural light, a master bath with a large standalone shower, soaking tub, and toilet, and a master closet with good lighting, a dressing table, and functional storage.
