The wall color is Sherwin Williams “Ancient Marble.” The floors are engineered hickory. The mantle is reclaimed cypress. The brick on the fireplace is Old Carolina “Savannah Gray.” The fireplace is scored tabby (stucco with oyster shells). The beams are made of pine with Minwax “Ipswitch Pine” stain. The front door was custom made. It is douglas fir with Minwax “Natural Beige” stain. John McManus

The staircase in this 1790's house had been moved at some point in the house's history, our renovation moved it back to its proper location, which greatly improves the floor plan

The three+ acre site for this house slopes gently down through a natural meadow under a grove of Palmetto trees to the marshes of the Colleton River. We placed the house at the top of the hill and angled the house so that the view is blocked from the entry. Upon entering the front door you are wowed by the view through the meadow to the river.
