This simple painting studio includes living quarters for an artist and frequent weekend guests. A familiar vocabulary of traditional forms and materials slants gently toward the sun and views up the Slocum River. The cantilevered roof and upper story shelter the glass from high summer sun.The concrete floor absorbs energy from low winter sun during the daytime to release it at night. Walls of exposed studs inside are wrapped and sealed with a continuous plane of insulation applied outside the structural sheathing.

Kitchen storage place including home office files, cookbooks, pantry pull-outs, dovetail maple drawers on sliders, drawers dividers for cutlery.

This renovated kitchen includes a breakfast bar, with all around granite counter tops. Also included are natural wood cabinets, with pass-thru cabinets located above breakfast bar. These allow for ease of access to frequent items. Add ins such as undercabinet lighting, recessed storage and the added storage niche bring nice detail to the kitchen area. With the transparent

Frequent entertainers, this large New York family
wanted special attention paid to making their new kitchen
both stylish and especially welcoming for their guests, so
they hired Julie Deuble of Artisan Kitchens & Baths at
Appliance Associates.
In addition to the logistical issues of working in a
high-rise, some of Deuble’s biggest challenges came with
incorporating appliances, such as properly venting the
48-inch pro-style range. To integrate several large appliances
into the relatively small space while maintaining a seamless
appearance, she included custom panels over the refrigerator,
dishwasher drawers, and refrigerator drawers. She then
housed a microwave and a TV in identical wall cabinets.
Since the kitchen opens to the living room, Deuble
needed to design it as a space to be shown, not hidden. To
achieve this, custom details were included throughout, such
as a table-style peninsula with decorative
legs, three-stage crown molding, mullion
doors, an entertainment center with wine
and liquor storage, and a desk designed to
match the cabinetry. Well-thoughtout
details such as the push-to-open
hardware on the peninsula’s full-height
cabinet doors provided the finishing
touches to this showcase-worthy space.

When rustic meets modern farmhouse the yielded results are superb. The floor and beams are Goodwin’s LEGACY (building reclaimed) CHARACTER & NAILY grades in a 4/6/8 mix (3-1/4”, 5-1-/4”, 7”). Attributes include nail holes and nail staining, more frequent and larger knots, and some face checks that help tell the story of the industrial era wood. Example of a large mid-century modern l-shaped cork floor, beige floor and exposed beam eat-in kitchen design in Los Angeles with a double-bowl sink, flat-panel cabinets, dark wood cabinets, quartzite countertops, green backsplash, subway tile backsplash, stainless steel appliances, an island and gray countertops

This lower level space started off as a storage space for inherited household furniture and miscellaneous infrequently used items. Pierre Jean-Baptiste Interiors reimagined the space as it now exists using some of our clients few requirements including a stage for the family comedians at the rear of the lower level, a movie screening area, a serving table for frequent soiree’s, and cozy resilient furnishings. We infused style into this lower level changing the paint colors, adding new carpet to absorb sound and provide style. We also were sure to include color in the space strategically. This is the ideal mudroom - spacious and beautifully designed to give each family member their own area and storage (including the family pet!), this room is organized and easy to maintain. Cabinets give the option for concealed storage, while hooks and space under seating for boots and shoes leave opportunity for keeping frequently used items close at hand. The island in the centre is a helpful aid when getting ready to go or bringing things in from the yard (or even bringing in groceries), and doubles as a custom indoor dog house. Textured tiling on the ground is an ideal choice for a room that is sure to see lots of dirt and wear over the years - it is easy to clean and hides minor scratches and stains well.

The primary objective of this project was to create the ability to install a refrigerator sized for a family of six. The original 14 cubic foot capacity refrigerator was much too small for a four-bedroom home. Additional objects included providing wider (safer) isles, more counter space for food preparation and gathering, and more accessible storage.
After installing a beaming above the original refrigerator and dual walk-in pantries (missing despite being in the original building plans), this area of the kitchen was opened up to make room for a much larger refrigerator, pantry storage, small appliance storage, and a concealed information center including backpack storage for the youngest family members (complete with an in-drawer PDAs charging station).
By relocating the sink, the isle between the island and the range became much less congested and provided space for below counter pull-out pantries for oils, vinegars, condiments, baking sheets and more. Taller cabinets on the new sink wall provides improved storage for dishes.
The kitchen is now more conducive to frequent entertaining but is cozy enough for a family that cooks and eats together on a night basis. The beautiful materials, natural light and marine view are the icing on the cake.

This beautiful walk-in closet includes lots of hang-space, drawers, shelving, and a belt/tie rack. The smaller shelves are ideal for shoe storage or folded clothing. The other drawers featured are large, perfect for heavier clothes. The shelving in this closet is adjustable. The finishing touches are the belt and tie rack and the top shelving. This top shelving insures that larger, less frequently used items are organized and out of the way.

This custom beverage center features Medallion Platinum cabinetry in the Waldorf door style, crafted from Maple and finished in Eagle Rock stain with Sable highlights. The warm stained cabinetry, glass-front upper cabinets, open wood shelving, and furniture-style details create a built-in look that complements the main kitchen.
Two beverage refrigerators are incorporated into the lower cabinetry with custom matching Waldorf door panels, allowing the appliances to blend into the surrounding cabinetry. Glass-front uppers provide display storage for glassware, while the open shelving keeps frequently used items within easy reach.
SMY Home Improvement supplied the Medallion cabinetry and Emtek cabinet hardware for this project, including the custom appliance panels.
