This project won in the 2013 Builders Association of Metropolitan Pittsburgh Housing Excellence Award for Best Urban Renewal Renovation Project. The glass bowl was made in the glass studio owned by the owner which is adjacent to the residence. The mirror is a repurposed window. The door is repurposed from a boarding house. George Mendel

Living room surrounded by art designed specifically for this project. The entire design was developed with Fibonacci series numbers controlling all dimensions, and proportions.

This "column" serves as an air conditioning return, the top perforated metal allows air to flow. The custom glass to its left is both mirrored, sandblasted and clear, creating dynamic spatial complexity.

A 5'x9' sliding glass door separates living room and bedroom, creates privacy without breaking the space. Suspended completely from the ceiling, frosted with stripes alternating on each side. The beach view is visible in the reflections.

Apex NC was recently voted the #1 Best small town in America to live in. Apex is located about 20+ minutes from Downtown Raleigh NC. Apex is so popular and inventory is very low. Most new construction is built on smaller lots. Older homes can be found on larger nicer lots. Remember, location is very important.
