Situated at the top of the Eugene O'Neill National Historic Park in Danville, this mid-century modern hilltop home had great architectural features, but needed a kitchen update that spoke to the design style of the rest of the house. We would have to say this project was one of our most challenging when it came to blending the mid-century style of the house with a more eclectic and modern look that the clients were drawn to. But who doesn't love a good challenge? We removed the builder-grade cabinetry put in by a previous owner and took down a wall to open up the kitchen to the rest of the great room. The kitchen features a custom designed hood as well as custom cabinetry with an intricate beaded details that sets it apart from all of our other cabinetry designs. The pop of blue paired with the dark walnut creates an eye catching contrast. Ridgecrest also designed and fabricated solid steel wall cabinetry to store countertop appliances and display dishes and glasses. The copper accents on the range and faucets bring the design full circle and finish this gorgeous one-of-a-kind-kitchen off nicely.

Blue glass pendants illuminate the white quartz peninsula and its cabinet drawers. Built-in wine cubbies add storage at the end, while the full height blue mosaic wall and tall white pantry coordinate the gathering area beside the glazed doors. The lazy Susan in a kitchen corner cabinet was broken, which left the corner storage awkward to use. Our technician tracked down and ordered the right 28-inch replacement, removed the broken unit, and installed a new Rev-A-Shelf lazy Susan. The shelves now spin smoothly and the full corner cabinet is easy to reach again, without replacing the cabinet itself. After a recent hail event in the Alpharetta area, the homeowner requested a full roof inspection to determine if damage was present and whether an insurance claim would be warranted. Using the Inspector Roofing Protocols™, we performed a structured, inspection-first evaluation of the roofing system. This included wide-to-tight photographic documentation, slope-by-slope analysis, and targeted inspection of shingles, soft metals, and potential impact zones. While initial concern was hail-related damage, the inspection found no claim-verifiable damage to the roofing system. Shingle condition, seal integrity, and surface granule loss were all within normal wear parameters and did not meet thresholds consistent with storm-related functional damage. This project is a clear example of why inspection-first matters. Not every storm results in actionable damage, and proper documentation helps homeowners avoid unnecessary claims or premature roof replacement decisions.

This storage area was a mess! Full of massive boxes and loose papers. I bought some storage boxes, a shelving unit, and we had extra space for a bike!
