Memorabilia Room At the far end of the memorabilia room, poles used to hang cleats from significant games flank a Fathead poster of two “Tulloch” poses. Trophies are showcased and footballs line the walls, while a spirited area rug reminiscent of cheerleaders’ pom-poms adds a touch of whimsy. He tackled the situation by hiring interior designer Jennifer Corredor. Never defensive, he let her have run of the field. “He’d say, ‘Jen, do your thing,’” she says. And she did it well. The first order of the day was to get a lay of the land and a feel for what he wanted. For his primary residence, Tulloch chose a home in Pinecrest, Florida. — a great family neighborhood known for its schools and ample lot sizes. “His lot is huge,” Corredor says. “He could practice his game there if he wanted.” A laidback feeling permeates the suburban village, where mostly Mediterranean homes intermix with a few modern styles. With views toward the pool and a landscaped yard, Tulloch’s 10,000-square-foot home touches on both, a Mediterranean exterior with chic contemporary interiors. Step inside, where high ceilings and a sculptural stairway with oak treads and linear spindles immediately capture the eye. “Knowing he was more inclined toward an uncluttered look, and taking into consideration his age and lifestyle, I naturally took the path of choosing more modern furnishings,” the designer says. In the dining room, Tulloch specifically asked for a round table and Corredor found “Xilos Simplice” by Maxalto, a table that seats six to eight and has a Lazy Susan. And just past the stairway, two armless chairs from Calligaris and a semi-round sofa shape the living room. In keeping with Tulloch’s desire for a simple no-fuss lifestyle, leather is often used for upholstery. “He preferred wipe-able areas,” she says. “Nearly everything in the living room is clad in leather.” An architecturally striking, oak-coffered ceiling warms the family room, while Saturnia marble flooring grounds the space in cool comfort. “Since it’s just off the kitchen, this relaxed space provides the perfect place for family and friends to congregate — somewhere to hang out,” Corredor says. The deep-seated sofa wrapped in tan leather and Minotti armchairs in white join a pair of linen-clad ottomans for ample seating. With eight bedrooms in the home, there was “plenty of space to repurpose,” Corredor says. “Five are used for sleeping quarters, but the others have been converted into a billiard room, a home office and the memorabilia room.” On the first floor, the billiard room is set for fun and entertainment with doors that open to the pool area. The memorabilia room presented quite a challenge. Undaunted, Corredor delved into a seemingly never-ending collection of mementos to create a tribute to Tulloch’s career. “His team colors are blue and white, so we used those colors in this space,” she says. In a nod to Tulloch’s career on and off the field, his home office displays awards, recognition plaques and photos from his foundation. A Copenhagen desk, Herman Miller chair and leather-topped credenza further an aura of masculinity. All about relaxation, the master bedroom would not be complete without its own sitting area for viewing sports updates or late-night movies. Here, lounge chairs recline to create the perfect spot for Tulloch to put his feet up and watch TV. “He wanted it to be really comfortable,” Corredor says A total redo was required in the master bath, where the now 12-foot-long shower is a far cry from those in a locker room. “This bath is more like a launching pad to get you going in the morning,” Corredor says. “All in all, it’s a fun, warm and beautiful environment,” the designer says. “I wanted to create something unique, that would make my client proud and happy.” In Tulloch’s world, that’s a touchdown. In the rare event she has a free moment, she wants to spend it with her kids, not fussing over home decor. That’s my cue! Kim is my favorite type of client. She didn’t know where to go or what to do. She leaned on me to explain and articulate design and style. She looked to me to make her home a mirror of her best self. Easy peasy lemon squeezy. Fantastic human giving me a blank slate? Yes please! While Kim’s traditional home had a great layout and good bones, it needed updating to make it contemporary and fresh. It needed fixtures and knobs from this century. It needed a Lulu DK roman shade in the powder room. It needed a durable, snuggle-ready sofa with tufting and little patterns of texture. It needed drapery with small-scale drama. Throw in a Thomas O’ Brian cocktail table, and now there’s no shortage of conversation pieces. Little spaces make me happy – they are the most intimate snapshot of your entire home’s aesthetic – and this house has some good ones. I couldn’t wait to work with the nooks and crannies of this house. Kim’s sitting room, a small den off of the master bedroom, morphed into a craveable cozy space, a quiet adult respite from the occasional chaos of raising a family. The kitchen evolved into something quite unique: playful yet modest, dressed-up but centered. We used a favorite Lucy Rose fabric and Galbraith & Paul pillows to work perfectly with a fresh color palette selected during a prior-to-me renovation. A locally made kitchen farm table fit right in with the high-fashioned quirky blend of color, texture, and pattern. High-End + Color = Fun + Functional This is how we articulated Kim’s style and personality. She trusted me with her inner self, allowing me to get to know her and her real, everyday life. A grasscloth-wrapped sanctuary sets the tone for this warm, layered primary suite, where rich taupe textures, gleaming heart pine floors, and crisp white wainscoting strike that perfect balance of polished and livable. The arched plaid headboard is the room's showpiece, classic in silhouette yet unexpected in fabric, paired with a gilded sunburst mirror that catches the light just so. Monogrammed linens, a soft camel throw, and a coordinating plaid bench bring layered detail without a hint of fuss... grounded by an antique-style area rug and a velvet swivel chair tucked perfectly into the window corner. A room that feels entirely one-of-a-kind, and above all, belongs to the client.

Glossy white tile, carrara marble and stainless steel were brought in to lighten and modernize the kitchen. Minimum fuss creates maximum impact. Notice the simple, long lines of the cabinet hardware. The airy glass pendant over the sink. The clean finish of the stainless appliances, undermount sink and goose-neck faucet.

The goal here was to achieve an overall new look; a sleeker transitional style kitchen remodel with a better flow throughout the kitchen and dining room. Adding more lighting, interior storage, a desk area and custom seating area with built-in wine cubby and glass cabinetry to showcase wine glasses were on the top of this clients’ list. Replacing the existing vinyl floor with new hardwood flooring was a good choice to combine both rooms and also to provide a warm and spacious feel to an otherwise narrow space. The homeowners came across a dark marble countertop in a trade magazine but were concerned about the maintenance necessary to care for scratches and stains. We recommended Silestone’s ‘Doradus’, a new Quartz color which looks and feels like real marble, without the fuss of sealing the countertop every 6 months. The double-equal stainless steel sink with grids were stunning in contrast to the darker quartz material and the Jado single-handled stainless steel faucet was exactly the look and quality the client wanted. Along with new Electrolux stainless steel appliances, we provided custom ‘linen white’ inset cabinetry to accommodate a pantry cabinet with pull out trays, a pull-out trash receptacle, deep drawers including a bread drawer, a Lazy Susan, and a few mullion doors with glass to showcase some colorful dishware. LED dimmable lighting was furnished and installed over all countertop work areas, casting a beautiful rich glow on the linen white porcelain subway tile as well as onto the countertop below. Recessed LED dimmable Lighting was also installed on the ceiling to ensure plenty of lighting whenever needed. Our clients are thrilled with their new kitchen as it provides a much better flow as well as an appealing sleeker ‘linen white’ classic look compared to the darker wood-toned outdated kitchen they once had.

Nantucket is a small island vacation destination off the mainland of Massachusetts. The appeal of the villages is due to the restrained New England architecture, beaches, sailing, fishing, golf and quaint shops. Regulations imposed by the towns restrict the height and size of new homes and remodeling of existing homes. In consequence to this concern for scale and habitat architects are known for creative utilization of interior spaces. Created by Bentley and Churchill Architects this cottage is a wonderful example of fully utilized space, easy living interiors and with an eye towards the timelessness of the island. Jaeger & Ernst cabinetmakers were chosen for our design sensibility, craftsmanship and an ability to move seamlessly between cabinetry, furniture and millwork. Although each portion of the home is complex in it’s fitting and structure the overall impression is one of inviting simplicity. In this photo the end two drawers are fronts on Miele dishwashers. The wall paneling remains exposed on the upper cabinets serving two functions: the room remains larger visually and everything is easily known for use. The Wolf range is nested in the hearth – all the mess, smells and fuss are contained.

The large walk-in shower could probably fit the entire family, but, without a doubt, is comfortable for the couple to share intimate moments, or for each to unwind or relax at the end of a long day, or to jump start a busy, hustling day. Multiple water sources which are temperature controlled are available as well as a long bench stretching across the entire width of the shower. Niches are built into the walls for soap and toiletry storage, and knee walls were designed to offer some below the waist privacy as well as balance to the overall plan. Pebble/Rock tile on the shower base floor and the back of the niches are a repeated design element which can be seen at the tub area. The back wall of the shower appears to be a mosaic tile to break up the amount of large field tiles seen everywhere else. This tile, however, is an etched 12X24 tile made to look like mosaic (so less grout and fuss is concerned).
