Notice how this futon mattress has clean line boxed edges. Unlike cotton futon mattresses which have rounded edges and flatten over time, the foam futon mattress will hold up for ten plus years. Notice how the futon cover fits snug over the mattress. This happens to be a memory foam futon mattress. This is the best choice for daily sitting and sleeping. Unlike any futon mattress you have felt before. The one thing this customer forgot to add were the grip strips to keep the mattress more even to the frame from slipping off. Also you can see the added bottom storage drawers which make this futon look like a high end sofa. Believe it or not this futon package set costs around $1,300. A very good investment.

The Haley 110 uses all high performance foam with no cotton, but rather a poly-dacron blend, making the mattress much lighter. This futon is great to use on futon frames as a primary sofa or bed. For a premium high performance foam futon mattress, this is a great choice for daily sitting or sleeping, opening and closing your frame daily. This mattress simply will not bottom out and will retain it's density for at least 10 years. It's extremely comfortable and is considered a medium firm futon. It will simulate a sofa cushion feel unlike the cotton futons which tend to get harder over time. If you are using this mattress on a futon frame, it is highly recommended that the frame be of quality wood with thicker arms. The arms weight down the body of the frame facilitating the conversion from bed to sofa. If you plan on putting this on a futon frame that does not have arm rests, it will be better to get the Stratsophere 6" mattress by Otis instead.

Very nicely put together room. This tropical futon cover with island palm trees is so damn cute. You can tell this person used at least an 8" thick cotton and foam futon mattress. Remember it's always preferable to have foam in your cotton based futon mattress in order for it to bend nicely and keep the cotton in place when used on a bi fold futon frame. I like to point out a few decorating faux pas I noticed. The rug under the coffee table looks like a bathroom or door mat. The rug should be 3 to 4 times bigger. The picture of above the futon and the mirror should be reversed. The round mirror should be the focal point above the futon in this room.

The architecture of this mid-century ranch in Portland’s West Hills oozes modernism’s core values. We wanted to focus on areas of the home that didn’t maximize the architectural beauty. The Client—a family of three, with Lucy the Great Dane, wanted to improve what was existing and update the kitchen and Jack and Jill Bathrooms, add some cool storage solutions and generally revamp the house. We totally reimagined the entry to provide a “wow” moment for all to enjoy whilst entering the property. A giant pivot door was used to replace the dated solid wood door and side light. We designed and built new open cabinetry in the kitchen allowing for more light in what was a dark spot. The kitchen got a makeover by reconfiguring the key elements and new concrete flooring, new stove, hood, bar, counter top, and a new lighting plan. Our work on the Humphrey House was featured in Dwell Magazine.

This small apartment uses a futon sofa bed. Notice how clean and even the mattress rests on the frame. The flowered futon cover is thick fabric and does not wrinkle. The throw pillows are placed in the middle crease to conceal it. I would suggest some contrasting colors for the throw pillows on the futon.
