Our clients were relocating from the upper peninsula to the lower peninsula and wanted to design a retirement home on their Lake Michigan property. The topography of their lot allowed for a walk out basement which is practically unheard of with how close they are to the water. Their view is fantastic, and the goal was of course to take advantage of the view from all three levels. The positioning of the windows on the main and upper levels is such that you feel as if you are on a boat, water as far as the eye can see. They were striving for a Hamptons / Coastal, casual, architectural style. The finished product is just over 6,200 square feet and includes 2 master suites, 2 guest bedrooms, 5 bathrooms, sunroom, home bar, home gym, dedicated seasonal gear / equipment storage, table tennis game room, sauna, and bonus room above the attached garage. All the exterior finishes are low maintenance, vinyl, and composite materials to withstand the blowing sands from the Lake Michigan shoreline.

The playroom in the Scarsdale Colonial Makeover, designed by 7B Design in Scarsdale, NY, is a bright and functional family space created for organization and everyday play, with room to grow as the kids age. Refreshed white wainscoting paired with a light neutral wall color provides a clean, timeless backdrop that enhances natural light and keeps the room feeling open and airy. A blue patterned, family-friendly area rug layered over medium-toned hardwood floors adds comfort, durability, and a playful touch of color.
Custom open shelving and built-in storage solutions offer practical organization for toys, books, and games, helping maintain a clutter-free environment while keeping everything easily accessible.

Step into this Elegant Torrance Kitchen Remodel, where timeless design meets modern functionality. The centerpiece of this kitchen is a stunning dual-tone island, featuring rich wood contrasted against the sleek white cabinetry. It's not just for show; the expansive countertop space makes it perfect for meal prep and casual dining. We went with a classic subway tile backsplash in a herringbone pattern, adding just the right amount of texture to the clean, neutral palette. Stainless steel appliances and a custom range hood bring a professional-grade touch, while glass-front upper cabinets provide a stylish display for glassware and dishware.
Lighting was a game-changer here. We installed a trio of pendant lights over the island, casting beautiful patterns that enhance the overall ambiance. The open layout ensures an easy flow between cooking, dining, and entertaining. For this Torrance home, the goal was simple: combine elegance with everyday practicality, and we think it hit the mark beautifully.

Built by Schumacher Homes, America's Largest Custom Home Builder, this stunning Vinemont American Tradition in Charlotte, North Carolina, effortlessly balances classic architectural details with modern elements. The home commands immediate attention with dramatic, two-story soaring ceilings that bridge the high-end kitchen and great room into a breath-taking central living space. This open layout flows into a bright morning room, creating the perfect transitional space to start your day. Designed for high-performance entertaining and seamless home organization, a secondary "messy kitchen" sits directly off the main living area, serving as the ultimate prep and storage solution complete with built-in shelving to keep cooking clutter entirely out of sight. Off the foyer, organization is made effortless in a custom home office featuring premium flush-mount shelving and built-in cabinets. This dedicated work-from-home space is beautifully separated from the main living areas by a striking sliding barn door, ensuring absolute privacy.
The thoughtful architecture continues into a luxurious main-level primary sanctuary. The deluxe owner’s bath serves as a private, spa-like retreat anchored by a bold black subway tile accent wall and a freestanding soaking tub. Intelligently designed on either side of this central focal point are a spacious glass-enclosed tile shower, dual vanities, expansive independent walk-in closets, and a discrete, enclosed water closet. Upstairs, the home transitions into a dedicated family zone. A huge second-story loft and bonus room offers kids plenty of room to roam, serving as an ideal home for toys, media, and video games. This upper level accommodates three secondary bedrooms, where two bedrooms share a highly practical Jack-and-Jill bath layout while the fourth bedroom features its own independent, private en-suite bathroom.

The transformation of this outdated kitchen was nothing short of remarkable, as it evolved into a tranquil and inviting space infused with subtle hues of peaceful blue. A dramatic shift was initiated by removing the outdated, yellow-toned wood cabinets, which instantly brightened and modernized the room. By strategically removing select cabinets and replacing them with floating shelves, the space gained an airy and open feel, allowing for both practical storage and stylish display. The decision to square off the layout by eliminating an awkward landing/island and introducing a spacious, 11-foot island with barstool counter space proved to be a game-changer, enhancing flow and functionality while maximizing the room's potential. To further enhance the serene ambiance, subtle shades of peaceful blues and greens were introduced between the backsplash and lower cabinets, creating a soothing backdrop for culinary endeavors. The cool blue tones were elegantly complemented by the addition of gold hardware, adding a touch of sophistication and warmth to the space. The result? A peaceful and bright kitchen that seamlessly blends style with functionality, providing the perfect setting for both cooking and entertaining alike.
