The garage hosting the new sport court enhancement was properly built for a roof deck and already included decking. A complete upgrade was necessary for the other garage to properly support a new roof deck. Masonry, structural steel and new roofing were essential in order to incorporate all the bells and whistles that create this new outdoor living space. An operable shade system with heating along with the appliance counter and TV provides everything one would need without having to run back into the house. The double garage has something for everyone in the family to enjoy!

Garage rooftop decks have gained in popularity in many cities, and are very common in Chicago as one of the best options to increase access to outdoor space, where residential space is otherwise limited. Rooftopia removed an old pergola and wooden decking bringing a modern aesthetic to the design of the new deck. We installed new porcelain paver floor tiles, added gorgeous Ipe privacy screens, and a Renson Pergola with an adjustable louvered waterproof cover. The Renson pergola system also seamlessly integrates three retractable screens made of fabric for privacy on three sides of the pergola, as well as LED lighting in the columns of the pergola and outdoor heaters. The pergola includes outdoor curtains to provide our clients with the ability to create a very cozy enclosure. This co-op roof deck for a large apartment building in Midtown East, Manhattan is made for large groups of people to enjoy at one time. It features composite wood decking and fencing, as well as white concrete pavers on pedestals. White fiberglass planters are contemporary looking and provide a nice bit of contrast to the brown deck and fence materials. A white fiberglass pergola is lightweight and easy to maintain. Sling furnishings don't require cushions, which makes them a very low-maintenance choice for a communal space. The plantings include hardy hornbeam trees, coralbark maples, crape myrtles, maiden grasses, Knockout roses, boxwoods, hydrangeas, bamboo, and arborvitaes.
