Design objectives for this primary bathroom remodel included: Removing a dated corner shower and deck-mounted tub, creating more storage space, reworking the water closet entry, adding dual vanities and a curbless shower with tub to capture the view.

This room transformation took 4 weeks to do. It was originally a bedroom and we transformed it into a glamorous walk in dream closet for our client. All cabinets were designed and custom built for her needs. Dresser drawers on the left hold delicates and the top drawer for clutches and large jewelry. The center island was also custom built and it is a jewelry case with a built in bench on the side facing the shoes. The original backsplash options were downright depressing for this client, a visual artist. The builder offered two standard sizes of ceramic tile, but the square ceramic or subway tile didn’t come close to meeting this artist’s aesthetic sensibilities or eclectic tastes. Instead, the client selected the 1x3 Lunada Bay iridescent glass mosaic tiles she had seen on her very first visit to the Kitchen & Bath Design Studio. This classic kitchen has a white cabinetry that is offset with a second, grey finish on the island. Overall, the cabinet style is traditional with an ornate door style. There is also a mix of natural and engineered stone, including a marble backsplash, granite countertops and a quartzite island countertop.
