West Village Bachelor pad bedroom, featuring a hand-painted geometric design that highlights the pre-war features of the space, like the picture moldings. Additionally, because the client wanted both a work space and a place to put his TV (the pre-war wall could not hold a wall mounted tv!), we designed a custom desk/console piece out of reclaimed wood and metal hairpin legs that served both purposes, and fit the space perfectly. A huge graffiti poster found on the internet was hung on the back wall of the TV/lounge space. The black cart next to the lounge that serves as an end table and Industrial sconces and pendants were also found researching the internet. A West Village bachelor pad inspired by classic mid-century modern designs, mixed with some industrial, traveled, and street style influences. The space was a pre-war one bedroom that had certainly withheld the test of time, and we wanted to highlight the architectural elements that the space offered (such as the molding details, windows etc.). Our client took inspiration from both this travels as well as his city (NY!), and we really wanted to incorporate that into the design. In the foyer we turned a photo that we had taken of a nearby graffiti wall into a removable wallpaper, that we inset into the picture frame style moldings. Photos by Matthew Williams

This guest bath is definitely an original with this tile that is based on Banksy's street art. You order the square footage you want and they send you whatever they see fit. Because it was a guest bathroom there was more latitude in the design direction. It was not going to be used on a daily basis. To ground the design we used a charcoal grey floor and simple white vanity. This is truly an original
