The key to creating a desirable bedroom which inspires a blissful night’s sleep was not just down to the bed and giant custom designed headboard, it came with all the added extras. The over bed storage, all in white was created to reflect our client’s taste and to suit her individual requirement for additional space. We incorporated spotlights and adjustable lamps within the storage space to provide her with greater flexibility. A druzy quartz knobs with gem-like shine were handpicked by our client for a natural finishing touch.

In 2014, we were approached by a couple to achieve a dream space within their existing home. They wanted to expand their existing bar, wine, and cigar storage into a new one-of-a-kind room. Proud of their Italian heritage, they also wanted to bring an “old-world” feel into this project to be reminded of the unique character they experienced in Italian cellars. The dramatic tone of the space revolves around the signature piece of the project; a custom milled stone spiral stair that provides access from the first floor to the entry of the room. This stair tower features stone walls, custom iron handrails and spindles, and dry-laid milled stone treads and riser blocks. Once down the staircase, the entry to the cellar is through a French door assembly. The interior of the room is clad with stone veneer on the walls and a brick barrel vault ceiling. The natural stone and brick color bring in the cellar feel the client was looking for, while the rustic alder beams, flooring, and cabinetry help provide warmth. The entry door sequence is repeated along both walls in the room to provide rhythm in each ceiling barrel vault. These French doors also act as wine and cigar storage. To allow for ample cigar storage, a fully custom walk-in humidor was designed opposite the entry doors. The room is controlled by a fully concealed, state-of-the-art HVAC smoke eater system that allows for cigar enjoyment without any odor.

This two story great room is clad entirely in reclaimed wood wall paneling from floor to upper balcony level, the warm honey and wheat tones with natural color variation, saw marks, and original surface character creating an immersive interior that feels completely connected from every angle. Heavy reclaimed timber posts anchor the space structurally and visually throughout, their warm brown tones grounding the lighter paneling above and below. The scale of this install shows what is possible when reclaimed wood wall paneling and timber framing are treated as a whole room material story rather than individual accents. This split-level home in the Castro Valley Hills contained multiple different floor levels and was segmented by walls, creating a kitchen with wasted space and a tiny dining room that could hardly fit a table for four. Ridgecrest took down the walls in the main living space to create a great room that is perfect for family time and entertaining. This completely custom kitchen features customized inset cabinetry, a matte black steel range hood, white oak floating shelves, a one-of-a-kind white oak pantry door with a steel mesh panel, steel mesh panels on the wall cabinetry, and beautiful black marbled quartz countertops. The satin brass hardware and fixtures pop against the white and black surfaces. The kitchen window opens across a passthrough countertop for outdoor entertaining. In the living room, a floor-to-ceiling concrete colored quartz fireplace is surrounded by a custom white oak entertainment center.

Siri Blanchette/Blind Dog Photo Associates This kids bath has all the fun of a sunny day at the beach. In a contemporary way, the details in the room are nautical and beachy. The color of the walls are like a clear blue sky, the vanity lights look like vintage boat lights, the vanity top looks like sand, and the shower walls are meant to look like a sea shanty with weathered looking wood grained tile plank walls and a shower "window pane" cubby with hand painted tiles designed by Marcye that look like a view out to the beach. The floor is bleached pebbles with hand painted sea creature tiles placed randomly for the kids to find.
