Location, location, location! Isn’t that what all of our real-estate friends and colleagues are always telling us? Our clients made a wise choice when purchasing this beautifully located ocean front property nestled in the dunes of Palm Beach, but they were presented with a challenge: how to take this luxury townhouse from dark and dated to a chic easy breezy dream home that reflects is naturally gorgeous sun and sand dunes surroundings as well as our clients laid back personalities.
Built in 1981, this dream home’s post-modern style with dark wood architectural features, cold concrete structure, and harsh lighting felt out of step by todays standards. Our solution: open the staircase and switch out the wood paneled banister for clear glass, exposing its grand design and allowing for amazing and unobscured views of the property’s outdoor spaces as well as the home’s common areas, permitting its large loft space to shine.
Bedrooms were treated to neutral color-schemes inspired by the Palm Beach dunes that surround this oceanfront home. An impressive pallet of textures and materials were chosen, and juxtapositions of lux linens and natural textiles like grass wall coverings and a large arrangement of sculptural branches brings the outside, in. Big and bold custom metal sculptures were installed in the primary bedroom along with hand blown glass light fixtures, adding that touch of glam that we are known for.
The private courtyard revamp is above and beyond anything you will see in Palm Beach. Playful and luxurious, it features a koi pond, a two story art installation and a dramatic custom stone waterfall. Its seating area makes great use of this homes original design by softening the heavy overhang with ceiling coverings in Peaky Cyprus and covering the walls with grass, creating a very cool and cozy space to relax and unwind. The entire courtyard is expertly illuminated by artistic lighting that makes every corner a sparkling treat for the eyes.
We had fun with this ambitious project and we hope your takeaway is to let location be your guide when looking for your dream home, because anything is possible in design but great surroundings are rare treasures that must be found and cherished.

Guiding homebuyers through a simple, step-by-step process, we enhance the building experience by providing practical advice, flexible accommodations, and educational insight. But while we are mainly a home builder in Chicago suburbs, we also build luxurious beach homes in Naples, FL and along the shores of Lake Michigan in Indiana and Michigan's Harbor Country. In addition we serve as an expert suburban Chicago remodeling company catering to the communities of Downers Grove, Hinsdale, Naperville, Glen Ellyn, LaGrange, Western Springs, Elmhurst, and other west suburban locations.

This Jersey City, NJ space was the first permanent ‘home’ for the yoga studio, so it was essential for us to listen well and design a space to serve their needs for years to come. Through our design process, we helped to guide the owners through the fit-out of their new studio location that required minimal demolition and disruption to the existing space.
Together, we converted a space originally used as a preschool into a welcoming, spacious yoga studio for local yogis. We created one main yoga studio by combining four small classrooms into a single larger space with new walls, while all the other program spaces (including designated areas for holistic treatments, massage, and bodywork) were accommodated into pre-existing rooms.
Our team completed all demo, sheetrock, electrical, and painting aspects of the project. (The studio owners did some of the work themselves, and a different company installed the flooring and carpets.) The results speak for themselves: a peaceful, restorative space to facilitate health and healing for the studio’s community.

Forest house
Year: 2019
Area: 235 sq. m.
Kyiv region, Ukraine
Architecture has a power to transform space. Often it`s too aggressive to the natural landscape. The principles of "live minimalism" in architectural projects is that you do not need to choose “man or nature”. Ukrainian architect and designer Viktoria Yakusha created residential house in the middle of the pine forest with zero harm to the environment.
The location of the house was not chosen by chance.Pine forest, convenient location near Kyiv – an ideal place for a quiet flow of life and a cosy weekend.Preserving wildlife, leaving pine trees on the site, while ensuring comfortable spatial planning of the house, was a fundamental point in the entire project and the most difficult task for the designer.
The first floor of the house is an open space. Thanks To the large window and terrace, the interior and exterior are combined and merged into a single harmonious space. The second-floor hangs over the terrace, creating a cosy place for family evenings. The construction of the outer wall of the building provides barbecue facilities.
The house is formed from several clear volumes, which are additionally highlighted with different materials: decorative plaster, porcelain stoneware, wooden beams. The colour scheme continues and partially reproduces the colours of the surrounding landscape as if the house emerges among the trees.
“Nature was not just an inspiration for design team, but a co-author of this house,” - says the architect Victoria Yakusha. - “During our work, we were guided by the principles of“living minimalism”. This allowed us to create a special space combining man and nature.”

We are so excited to share with you this beautiful kitchen remodel in Lakeville, MN. Our clients came to us wanting to take out the wall between the kitchen and the dining room. By taking out the wall, we were able to create a new larger kitchen!
We kept the sink in the same location, and then moved the stove to the same wall as the sink. The fridge was moved to the far wall, we added an oven/micro combinations and a large pantry. We even had some extra room to create a desk space. The coolest thing about this kitchen is the DOUBLE island! The island closest to the sink functions as a working island and the other is for entertaining with seating for guests.
What really shines here is the combination of color that creates such a beautiful subtle elegance. The warm gray color of the cabinets were paired with the brown stained cabinets on the island. We then selected darker honed granite countertops on the perimeter cabinets and a light gray quartz countertop for the islands. The slightly marbled backsplash helps to tie everything in and give such a richness to the whole kitchen. I love adding little pops throughout the kitchen, so matte black hardware and the matte black sink light are perfect!
We are so happy with the final result of this kitchen! We would love the opportunity to help you out with any of your remodeling needs as well! Contact us today

Open space concept. A wonderful couple from Holmes Beach, FL located in Manatee County came by to take a tour of our showroom. They expressed they were needing assistance to help guide them through the process of selecting cabinetry and tile for their outdated kitchen. They stated to us; “They absolutely love their home and neighborhood and did not want to move”.
We understand completely. Why move when you have an option to remodel your kitchen or bath. If you love the location and charm of a well-established neighborhood for its, architectural style, safety, and amenities and do not want to move; then come by and let us help you design your remodeling project. We invite you to take a tour of our showrooms to experience the beauty and function Gulf Tile & Cabinetry can bring to your remodeling project.
The couple stated, “My husband and I finally got the kitchen we envisioned when we first fell in love with the house.”

The 3-Panel interior barn door is a contemporary twist on the popular 5-Panel barn door. The 3 equal panels create a sense of uniformity and structure that works well with clean and modern spaces. The 3-Panel is built to last with hand selected wood and cross grained runners to prevent warping.
Made with mortise and tenon joinery, along with engineered rails and stiles to ensure the doors longevity.
The door has a 1/4" groove in the bottom of the door to accept floor guides. This barn door is complementary to any of our barn door hardware.
