The owners of this one-time classic east bay property updated their home for the 21st century, but wished to pay homage to the retro style of the original architecture, fixtures and vintage elements. In addition to plumbing and electrical repairs required for current code compliance, the kitchen was rebuilt maintaining the warmth and charm of the original, and a modern half-bath was newly constructed. The kitchen remodel included a new countertop surface and shelves, cabinets, a new tile backsplash and painting of trim, doors and casework. New hardwood flooring was installed in the kitchen, existing floors and stairs refinished throughout the home, and carpentry work performed to repair doors, windows and walls as needed. The existing bathroom sink and tub were refinished to home-owner requirements.

Perched on a knoll atop a lakeside peninsula, this transitional home combines English manor-inspired details with more contemporary design elements. The exterior is constructed from Doggett Mountain stone, tumbled brick and wavy edge siding topped with a slate roof. The front porch with limestone surround leads to quietly luxurious interiors featuring plaster walls and white oak floors, and highlighted by limestone accents and hand-wrought iron lighting.

A tree hit the gable face of this beautiful home on Ivy St. in Park Hill, Denver, Colorado. We took the brickwork down about half way, matched the old mortar, and reused the original bricks to rebuild the wall. We replaced the fascia, trim, roof edge metals, shingles near the roof edge, and flashings. Believe it or not, the carpentry was more difficult than the brickwork requiring quite a bit of shimming to make the fascia flat/level with no dips We matched the paint using Benjamin Moore paint. Thanks to Marshall, Matt, and Logan at The Ponderosa Paint Center at 5335 East Colfax. I’m so proud of this job because even I can’t see the repair.

Hack off one half or roof truss, add beams and concrete, build up the 2nd floor. Repair the 1st story trusses existing in the garage. Preserve the garage space. Redevelop 1st floor garage studio apartment into the bottom floor of the apartment with kitchen, bath and stairwell.

Major remodel of entire first floor including the master bedroom. We added a double-sided gas fireplace (facing the master bedroom and master bathroom) with 3D stone surround, reclaimed wood mantel and built-in storage niches.
