The aqua mercury glass lamp, rattan and wood lanterns, mosaic tray, and shell inspired bowl are the decor that help bring in that coastal chic vibe. Embroidered linen drapes and the braided rug add warmth. My client requested a serene, cozy, and beachy hone office where she could feel comfortable and inspired when working from home. Cool and coastal colors of sea glass, blue, aqua, sand, and ivory unfold a serene yet interesting space. With painted wood and rattan furniture, the feeling is that you are in a tropical retreat. We created spaces for working at a desk with practicalities like a filing cabinet, yet also a place to lounge while reading, conversing, and even working on the lap top. This small guest room became an inspiring place for my client to be productive and do her thing in style! Custom sewing by Sewing Things Up!

CLOSE-UP VIEW This master bath makeover starts with bare walls that have been floated out smooth over the sheetrock. Then we hand applied a beautiful custom tinted, soft grey Venetian plaster. After two coats of plaster, the walls were waxed and buffed. This process seals the plaster, leaving a long-lasting finish. The finished product is subtle and undeniably beautiful! I’ve included a close-up view of the finish below.

For the first time, the beauty and characteristic patina of the coveted Antique Dalle de Bourgogne limestone has been meticulously reproduced, using traditional Scagliola craftsmanship. Available in a range of colors and finishes that make them almost indistinguishable from the original, Dalle de Bourgogne reproduction materials are available in three or eleven piece patterns, leveled to a consistent thickness for convenient installation in any rustic project.

These guys wanted RUSTIC. so thats what we gave them. We didnt grade anything out of the Elm floor made from barn beams. You can see the holes we patched. we pillowed the edges, wire brushed the floor heavily, french bleed treatment(black stain) then sanded to top surface off. We finished using a custom Loba Oil colour.

The net curtains were cut on the bias so that the top had scarf type swags between pins. A snap tape in both female and male strips was used to border the curtains and enabling them to be adjusted in any shape by releasing and reattaching the snaps. Carolyn Robbins photograph
