The homeowners came to us with the desire to update their master bathroom into a more spa-like retreat that was also more functional for their daily needs. The existing space was large with a vaulted ceiling, lots of natural light and an existing private water closet. So the bones of the space were great and the room just needed a few tweaks.
We started by relocating the cramped shower that shared the water closet room, to the existing tub location. The giant whirlpool tub took up more than its share of real estate in the room, and the beautiful new shower, which gets used daily, now sits in its spot. The new shower features beautiful lass tile accents as well as a bench seat and frameless shower door.
The new tub is freestanding and sits in front of an updated slightly smaller window, providing a sculptural focal point upon entry to the room. There was still plenty of room for two large vanities, and a corner storage cabinet and appliance garage that hides small bathroom necessities.
The water closet remains in its own private room and the area that once housed the shower, is now an additional closet for the master bedroom. The room is a pallet of soft grays and whites with the cherry vanities adding some warmth. Polished chrome and glass accents bring some sparkle to the space.

PNJ Property GroupFor a rental suite kitchen we wanted to save cost so used a white subway in a herringbone style to add style and grey grout to define it. Open wine rack and stainless appliances are bonus features for tenants and also means owners will get good tenants by commanding a higher rent.
Lower ceiling meant 20" high top cabinets and an awkward jog in the back corner hiding a plumbing stack meant getting creative with cabinetry in the corner.
PNJ Property GroupSupporting wall between the kitchen and dining was removed as was the drop ceiling in the kitchen to vault it. 2lb spray foam used in the ceiling.
Huge 9'x5' quartz island with marble effect was chosen ($4500) to keep it bright andis perfect of entertaining. Marble herringbone tile for backsplash with dark grey quartz countertop for contrast. Storage draw on the outside of island for additional storage and a double bowl undermount black granite sink with touch tap,, DW, 3-compartment garbage/recycling pullout & wine fridge are on the other side for full functionality. White shaker style kitchen cabinets were chosen with black hardware for that industrial feel. A small workspace was created for the kids to do homework while preparing dinner or for a small computer/office space.
Industrial & contemporary fixtures used including an oversized clock give the space a warm yet fun feel. We are not afraid of colour and the rich blue wall make the kitchen pop out! New french doors were put ($1900 each set) in to replace the old wooden ones and the kitchen one was re-positioned away from the corner to maximize light and space for the desk. The large door on the left hide a laundry with side-by-side washer dryer, and just past that is a double fridge and pantry. Black-trim square LED pot recessed lights in the ceiling
