Designed by Daniel Altmann of Reico Kitchen & Bath in Bethesda MD, this contemporary kitchen design features Ultracraft Cabinetry in the Edgewater door style and a Premium Flint High Gloss finish. The kitchen cabinets are complemented by Top Knobs Mercer Europa 6” Pulls in Brushed Satin Nickel and Caesarstone Pebble Honde with Sharknose Edge kitchen countertops. This contemporary kitchen in Durham NC combines high-gloss white cabinetry, rich walnut accents, and dramatic waterfall quartz countertops for a bold, sophisticated look. A bookmatched natural stone backsplash, oversized island, and sculptural chandelier create a stunning focal point for cooking and entertaining.

The objective was to create a warm neutral space to later customize to a specific colour palate/preference of the end user for this new construction home being built to sell. A high-end contemporary feel was requested to attract buyers in the area. An impressive kitchen that exuded high class and made an impact on guests as they entered the home, without being overbearing. The space offers an appealing open floorplan conducive to entertaining with indoor-outdoor flow. Due to the spec nature of this house, the home had to remain appealing to the builder, while keeping a broad audience of potential buyers in mind. The challenge lay in creating a unique look, with visually interesting materials and finishes, while not being so unique that potential owners couldn’t envision making it their own. The focus on key elements elevates the look, while other features blend and offer support to these striking components. As the home was built for sale, profitability was important; materials were sourced at best value, while retaining high-end appeal. Adaptations to the home’s original design plan improve flow and usability within the kitchen-greatroom. The client desired a rich dark finish. The chosen colours tie the kitchen to the rest of the home (creating unity as combination, colours and materials, is repeated throughout). Photos- Paul Grdina

The stainless steel 48" french door refrigerator anchors this side of the kitchen. The microwave is hung from the cabinet above it to make it look built in. Quartz countertops were used on this side of the kitchen to change up the look a bit. The same high gloss black cabinets were used, but the phone center was hung from the wall to make it appear less heavy and more contemporary.

A contemporary, Mid-Century Modern kitchen refresh with gorgeous high-gloss white and walnut wood cabinetry paired with bright, red accents. The flooring is a beautifully speckled Terrazzo tile. Open shelving against a reclaimed brick backsplash is brightened up with recessed lighting. Our designer, Mackenzie Cain, created this truly unique kitchen for these stylish homeowners.

Location: Nantucket, MA, USA This classic Nantucket home had not been renovated in several decades and was in serious need of an update. The vision for this summer home was to be a beautiful, light and peaceful family retreat with the ability to entertain guests and extended family. The focal point of the kitchen is the La Canche Chagny Range in Faience with custom hood to match. We love how the tile backsplash on the Prep Sink wall pulls it all together and picks up on the spectacular colors in the White Princess Quartzite countertops. In a nod to traditional Nantucket Craftsmanship, we used Shiplap Panelling on many of the walls including in the Kitchen and Powder Room. We removed a structural column in this dated, boring kitchen and designed and installed a new kitchen with amazing finishes, Beautiful laminated stone tops, and highly decorated cabinetry details. The hood is custom, and the backsplash is marble.
