Their goal was something that would serve multiple functions: allow them to entertain small groups while accommodating their two small children not only now but into the future as they grow up and have social lives of their own. They wanted the kitchen opened up to the living room to create a Great Room. The living room was also in need of an update including the bulky, existing brick fireplace. They were interested in an aesthetic that would have a mid-century flair with a modern layout. We added built-in cabinetry on either side of the fireplace mimicking the wood and stain color true to the era. The adjacent Family Room, needed minor updates to carry the mid-century flavor throughout.

The homeowners approached us with a problem - the sun was so brutally hot over their patio that they could not use the space during the summer months. We solved the problem by building a sunroom addition off the existing kitchen/dining room area, which opened up more space for entertaining, and adding a pergola as a shade element. The sunroom has all WeatherShield casement windows with upper awning windows. The pergola is 100% Azek, so it is maintanence-free.

This new Bathroom design includes a few features that significantly increase the size that this Bathroom feels, without changing the footprint of the Bathroom. The key components which make all the difference are the open curbless shower, the larger light-colored wood vanity, and the wider pocket door which replaced the small hinged door. This Bathroom includes plentiful amounts of storage, found in the built-in linen cabinet, vanity full-extension drawers, and recessed medicine cabinet. The designer, inspired by the unique light switch covers around the house and the Elm tree etched into the glass of Marilyn's Primary Bathroom, suggested a pine tree graphic be imprinted on the glass panel for a statement piece as you enter or walk by this Guest Bathroom. We removed all the wood paneling in the Living Room just outside of this Bathroom, and instead updated the wood-panel style in this home by installing cedar tongue and groove paneling to the ceiling of this Bathroom. The different Northwestern elements are tied together with the door lintel piece that was installed to match the existing door and window lintels that the client's husband had installed throughout the house 10 years ago. We love how this Bathroom remodel provides the functionality that our client was needing, and fits right in with the style of the rest of the home.

These homeowners approached Renovisions to remodel their master bath. With their kids off at college it was time to do something for themselves. They wanted an elegant upscale look with a spacious shower with glass enclosure, a high-end whirlpool bathtub and custom built in for towels. Their existing tub presented a safety issue when they opened & closed the windows which were located directly behind the tub. The new design includes a free standing tub/whirlpool with custom rounded and removable wood panels to access electrical and plumbing components. This allows a safe pass way around the tub as well as a more open feel. The adjacent shower boasts a generous space with an open style created by the use of 3/8” shower glass enclosure on 2 sides. Custom cubbies and corner seat were built into the Crema marfil marble tiles. 12″x24″ porcelain tiles were installed in a herringbone pattern providing a beautiful and unique appearance setting a neutral stage to showcase the burgundy cherry custom vanities with beaded detail and matching tower with Victorian glass. Crema Marfil marble countertops on the vanities and slab on tub featured ogee edges lending a real elegant feel to the room. The Piece de Resistance was the exquisite antique brass widespread faucets, hand held shower, shower head, matching antique brass accessories and cabinet hardware all decorated with Swarovski cut crystals.

Needing more space for their growing family, these young homeowners approached us to help them create an updated, larger home from their existing 1953 split-level. A new second floor addition was created to include 2 bedrooms, a hall bathroom, a master bedroom suite, and a laundry room. Pictured here is the double vanity in the master bathroom.
