Removing the door to the basement and the entire wall created a large, open space. Shiplap on the walls adds texture and a horizontal cable railing provides a sleek, unrestricted feel. A rich stain on the walnut millwork adds warmth and creates a beautiful contrast to the bright white space.

For this project we converted an old ranch house into a truly unique boat house overlooking the Lagoon. Our renovation consisted of adding a second story, complete with a roof deck and converting a three car garage into a game room, pool house and overall entertainment room. The concept was to modernize the existing home into a bright, inviting vacation home that the family would enjoy for generations to come. Both porches on the upper and lower level are spacious and have cable railing to enhance the stunning view of the Lagoon.

This image captures the refined design of a modern staircase, featuring a smooth, light wood handrail atop sleek black metal posts. The multiple horizontal stainless steel cables create a sophisticated safety barrier, emphasizing the open concept of the stairwell. The warm wood tones of the flooring and treads are beautifully complemented by the cool industrial touch of the metal and cables.

Horizontal cable replaced the old picket railing, which is what turned a screened porch into a deck you actually look out from. The boards run the length of the house and the existing eucalyptus were kept as the middle distance.

A homeowner in Blanchester, Ohio combined our vibrant Ipe posts with a subdued silver wood of their own. The top rail is made from the same wood as the decking, with Ipe beams running along the underside to provide added support and visually tie the whole thing together. These contrasting woods make for a striking outdoor addition!
