They longed for an elegant, timeless kitchen that was not only show-stopping but also functional, seamlessly catering to both their daily routines and special occasions with friends and family. Another key factor was its future appeal to potential buyers, as they’re ready to enjoy their new kitchen while also considering downsizing in the future.

THE RENEWED SPACE
The new kitchen exceeded every expectation, thrilling the clients with its revitalized, expansive design and thoughtful functionality. The transformation brought to life an open space adorned with marble accents, a state-of-the-art steam oven, and the seamless integration of the Galley Dresser, crafting a kitchen not just to be used, but to be cherished. This is more than a culinary space; it’s a new heart of their home, ready to host countless memories and culinary adventures.

This stately lumber baron home, built in 1890, was updated to match the historic nature of the home and to create a kitchen the homeowners could entertain in more easily. The kitchen’s previous update was in 1960, and the space was cut up leaving it feeling disjointed and small. Almost half the space in the kitchen was used as a large butler’s pantry, and was further confined by a poor layout. By removing the wall separating the pantry, we were able to make a much larger, more comfortable space.
The kitchen is outfitted with custom cabinets in a traditional inset shaker style door to fit the age of the home. Honed black granite countertops and handmade blue subway tile complete the period look. The kitchen has all of the modern conveniences, with high end appliances, including a built-in Miele coffee-maker in the area where the pantry once resided. Along the same wall, there is a desk with compartments for mail, bills and homework, which is a must for this busy family!

This striking mountain residence blends modern design with natural beauty. The exterior features a harmonious combination of stone and wood, creating a timeless aesthetic that complements the snowy surroundings. Large, angular windows frame breathtaking views of the landscape, enhancing the connection between indoors and nature.
The grand entryway, with its elegant staircase and sleek, minimalist design, invites you into a space filled with natural light. The thoughtful landscaping includes gentle pathways and accent lighting, guiding guests up to the front door. The home’s design focuses on maximizing outdoor views while maintaining a sense of privacy and warmth.
This residence exudes both luxury and comfort, offering a sophisticated yet inviting atmosphere. Its seamless integration with the environment and emphasis on modern architectural elements make it a standout property in any mountain community. The combination of stone detailing, expansive windows, and thoughtful outdoor spaces creates an exceptional living experience, perfect for those seeking both style and serenity.

This was a down to the studs interior remodel of a historic home in Boise's North End. Through an extensive Design Phase we opened up the living spaces, relocated and rearranged bathrooms, re-designed the mail level to include an Owner's Suite, and added living space in the attic. The interior of this home had not been touched for a half century and now serves the needs of a growing family with updates from attic to lower level game room.

Visual Comfort pendant light pair strikes over the large island.

Designed by Nancy Knickerbocker of Reico Kitchen & Bath in Southern Pines, NC, this transitional blue and white finish kitchen design features Merillat Classic cabinets in the Marlin door style in 2 finishes. The perimeter cabinets feature the Nightfall finish, complemented by kitchen island cabinets in the Cotton finish.
The kitchen also includes Silestone Pietra quartz countertops, Whirlpool appliances, Kohler faucet and Kichler light fixtures. The tile backsplash features Happy Floors 3" Hexagon Alaska Glossy tile with Laticrete Raven grout.
Said Nancy, “The homeowners wanted something unique. The dark blue cabinetry and the hexagon backsplash are fun! The space is not large so removing a traditional table and adding an island opened the space, provided additional prep area and still allows for some seating. Storage improved by adding a small pantry with roll out shelves and incorporating a lazy susan. We met a couple of times in our showroom to select door style and finishes, but finalized the project through e-mail and phone calls.”
“Very nice job and met our expectations. Nancy was great help selecting products,” said the client.

Our clients came to us with a desire to expand what was a fairly small kitchen in a large 1977 home. Many of the main living spaces were unused, so the existing kitchen and former dining room were combined into a new, large kitchen that includes 2 large walnut topped islands, a bar area, and an organizational area for mail and crafts. What was created was a room that allows the family to cook, entertain and play all in one area. The amount of storage space in this kitchen was fully maximized through custom pantry cabinets, pull out accessories and more. The perimeter cabinets were topped off with beautiful, classic Cambria quartz counters that resemble marble – a finish that fits perfectly into this traditionally styled home. The traditional style was played up through unique cement tiles, subway tiles, wired glass cabinet door inserts, a farm style sink, and oil rubbed bronze finishes. The appliances were a definite upgrade as well, reusing the single oven in the island and adding a large 36” range. In the end, this show-stopping kitchen is now a family friendly oasis for everyone from the cooks to the kids.
