When our homeowner approached us, they had decided that the whole house, including part of the basement needed redoing to bring everything up to speed. In this pictorial, we are showing the kitchen space, which required loadbearing beam work to unify the divided kitchen and dining room areas into one large space. New Hardwood flooring was added throughout the main and second floors as part of the entire home renovation and in the kitchen space we installed new, Benjamin Moore painted cabinetry. New quartz countertops were then installed followed by a patterned backsplash tile to finish the look. Have a look at the before pics, what a difference!

[?????? ??????????] At the intersection of art and architecture lives our Mobile Greenhouse. This seeming love-child of tom fruin & olson kundig was assembled with salvaged pieces including Sunkist-steel-factory windows, a motorcycle trailer, an old factory hand wheel, a rooftop solar water tank, a kid’s single speed bicycle front/rear sprockets, a chain from a retractable entry gate along with new metal stock from @ims_metals and beautiful art glass from @pacificartglass. p.c. Gary Moss Photography Function is elevated through beauty and now our herb garden is protected from the adorable bunnies of this Conejo Valley while the structure throws pools of liquid blue and green on the DG. All while re-using leftover parts, some of a bygone era. (Sigh. Oh, single-paned steel windows, we love you - even though you are completely energy inefficient) The parabolic angle-iron arch was critical to the design so we sallied forth through the tantrums it caused. As lovers of #stainedglass in general, we loved seeing this larger scale project come together.

This 1950s home got a major update and addition. It went from a modest three bedroom, two bath house to a beautiful five bedroom, four bath house. Our clients were outgrowing their home but loved their neighborhood and didn't want to move. So they decided to modify their existing home to bring it up to speed with their family's needs. The main goals were to enlarge the main living spaces and make the floor plan more open. This was primarily achieved by adding a second story which allowed new bedrooms to be created, freeing up space on the main floor for a larger kitchen, dining room, and living room. The soothing creams, blues, grays, and warm wood tones used throughout help make this home inviting, and the craftsman details add charm and character, ensuring our clients will be proud to call this space "home" for years to come. --- Project designed by interior design studio Kimberlee Marie Interiors. The homeowners chose to install perimeter cabinets using Dynasty by Omega. They chose the Madrid door style, Cherry wood, and a truffle stain. As for the island cabinets, they wanted the Madrid door style and Maple wood and then opted for the Pearl paint. The countertops are quartz and the island is granite. Before the renovation started, the homeowners selected Jenn-Air appliances, including an induction cooktop and built-in microwave oven with speed cook. Once the construction was underway, we removed the bulkheads to allow new cabinets that extended to the ceiling with two PC crown molding. This provided a cleaner, more modern look along with added storage for items that are occasionally used. We also swapped the pantry and refrigerator location to open up space as you enter the kitchen from the garage. The redesign also gave the refrigerator a built-in look. Then, we moved the cooktop to the corner and installed stainless steel Zephyr range hood and beveled subway tile in a herringbone pattern. The backsplash and new cooktop turned the most used area of the kitchen into a design feature. The addition of an enlarged island allows extra seating for up to four people. Moreover, island cabinets include two full-sized waste baskets for recycling and standard waste. The new farmhouse sink from Kohler not only looks and functions well but the drain is positioned at the rear corner. The plumbing in the cabinet below is consolidated to the back corner providing much more storage. Last, the built-in TV not only looks great but also reduces counter clutter. Plus, the drawer below the TV contains USB outlet for small personal device charging.

This modern freestanding pool house is a little over 500 square feet. We created this space to allow for entertaining outdoors and relaxing by the pool, as well as giving this homeowner a great backyard view. There is plenty of room for the kitchen and hang out area. We poured a concrete base that we then covered with light walnut travertine. We also added travertine pavers to transition from the pool to the new space. The structure includes smooth stucco finish on the walls, stone based columns and an outdoor shower. The space couldn’t be complete without the 2 TVs with built-in overhead speakers. The kitchen area includes an 18 foot counter area with leathered colonial cream granite and stone that matches the columns. There is a FireMagic Diamond 660i 30 inch grill, fridge, side burner and a sink with hot water. There is plenty of storage and a great pull-out trash drawer. The raised bar top area gives plenty of seating for that snack after swimming. The bathroom is a clean and bright area with a walk-in shower that has frameless glass doors. The vanity is custom built with the same granite as the kitchen area. The floor and wall tile is from Floor and Décor. The door is a Pella door. And, for those extremely hot summer days, it is a great place to go because it is air conditioned! To complete the space, the customer chose Haiku fans from Big Ass Fans – clean lines, 7 speeds, and so very super quiet you can’t even really hear them running.
