The kitchen now has a large refrigerator, 2 microwaves (one is a speed oven which also counts as a 2nd oven) a large gas rangetop and lots of storage and workspace. It's open to the dining space and the living space but separated by some classic Craftsman bookcases open on both sides. The large living room area has several options for seating including storage benches under large front windows. The bathrooms are very easy clean with full wall porcelain tiles in dramatic prints. The exterior has distinct Craftsman details and colors.

This luxury apartment building is on the block of Winnipeg’s best strips for food, drinks and social fun. 653 McMillan Avenue is an upscale apartment building. Its classic McMillan / Corydon living will be suited for those who are looking for upscale lifestyle residences. Each of the six two-bedrooms suites has a private walk out balcony, as well as a high level of finish and detailing including nine-foot ceilings, quartz countertops, stainless steel kitchen appliances, and in-suite laundry. Free high speed internet will also be available to all residents. This three-storey building is distinctively clad in James Hardie shaker siding, acrylic stucco, and aluminum siding highlights. There will be two vestibules on the main floor serviced by front and rear entry stairways, as well as six outdoor parking stalls.

This Terracotta tiled floor was installed in the kitchen of a cottage in the small village of Maidford near Towcester. The tiles were not looking their best and the owner of the property realised it was time to do something about it and contacted Tile Doctor to have the floor stripped and resealed. Stripping and Sealing tile and stone floors is our bread and butter so I was more than happy to pop round and survey the floor which was approximately 9m2. The grout had darkened with dirt and the previous tile sealer was failing so dirt was now getting ingrained in the Terracotta making it difficult to clean in places and leading to a patchy appearance. We discussed the work involved, my quote was accepted, and a date agreed for me to return and complete the work which would take two days, one to clean and one to seal. After tidying up the Kitchen and removing the kickboards from underneath the kitchen units I set about working on cleaning and stripping the Terracotta floor of old sealers. To start I tested a small area with a strong dilution of Tile Doctor Wax Away. Wax was quite often used on Terracotta so I figured this product would be a good place to start. My suspicions were proved correct, and I found this to be the best product for removing the many layers of sealant on the floor. Wax Away is a new alkaline product by Tile Doctor and ideal for cleaning clay-based tiles such as Terracotta. With my sights set on the rest of the floor Wax Away was scrubbed into the tile using a 17” rotary floor scrubbing machine and a black scrubbing pad running on a slow speed which helps to reduce splashing. This activity soon brought the dirt off the floor and the soiled cleaning solution was removed using a wet vacuum and the floor was rinsed down with clean water. The cleaning process was repeated a couple of times until I was happy with the floor, a stiff hand brush was then used along the grout lines with a dilution of Tile Doctor Pro-Clean to clean up the grout. After rinsing and extracting the floor again the floor was inspected, and I noticed there were a few stubborn paint splashes on the tiles. I managed to remove these and these by spot treating the affected area with Tile Doctor Remove and Go and a steamer to lift the stain out of the clay tile. Once happy the floor was clean it was given a thorough rinse to neutralise it and remove any trace of cleaning products and then left it to dry. I allowed the floor to dry for several days before returning to seal the Terracotta using numerous coats of Tile Doctor Seal and Go which is an ideal sealer for Terracotta and provides durable stain protection together with a low sheen finish. Terracotta is by its nature very porous and so it’s not unknown for it to take up to nine coats of sealer, which can take some time to apply as like paint you have to wait until it’s dry before it will take the next coat. The customer was so impressed by the results I achieved in their kitchen they decided to go ahead and book me in to carry out this process throughout the whole of the ground floor which included lounge, study and hallway. This 16’x32' freeform gunite swimming pool custom constructed in Massapequa NY. The pool shell consists of 10" concrete walls and an 8" concrete floor. The pool was shot with gunite cement, over 6" of over sized gravel base, 12 inches on center, 1/2” rebar metal cage and 6" apart center rods in any areas that the pool is deeper than 48”. All plumbing is done with 2" hard PVC schedule 40 piping. All of the equipment is Hayward including 400,000 BTU gas heater, a salt chlorine generator, ozone system, pumps, and cartridge filter. The pool is 46" to 66" deep which makes it a non-diving pool. In the deep end of the pool, there is a bench with special jets through which air and water are pushed at a higher speed to create a spa effect. Porcelain pool tiles were installed at the water line; the finish of the pool is cool blue diamond bright quartz. The steps and benches were highlighted with diamond shaped 2”x2” tiles. The coping patio and raised patio wall were created with Nicolock products. 6”x12" bullnose, ridge stone patio pavers with brown inlays and mini colonial walls and caps are all in travertine color. Three projects at once?! Why not? These were some brave customers! We started by gutting the kitchen and the master bathroom at the same time. By the time the master was in working order, we tackled the hall bathroom. A succinct and perfectly timed series of projects. John Noland expertly designed this roomy kitchen to create better flow for cooking and entertaining. He used Fieldstone Bainbridge cabinets in Butterscotch. The new speed oven and wall oven were moved conveniently to the other side of the bar, giving more room for the refrigerator, and a large induction cooktop. The kitchen now had the practicality it was missing. Other features include the natural stone tile floor in a pin wheel design, the large island for seating and storage and all topped by peacock green granite. The homeowners provided a reception at the completion of the project which was much appreciated by all of the contractors working on the job!

Packed with amenities and home automation, this studio truly maximizes the use of the space. It features color-adjusting lighting and a sound system throughout. [?????? ??????????] At the intersection of art and architecture lives our Mobile Greenhouse. This seeming love-child of tom fruin & olson kundig was assembled with salvaged pieces including Sunkist-steel-factory windows, a motorcycle trailer, an old factory hand wheel, a rooftop solar water tank, a kid’s single speed bicycle front/rear sprockets, a chain from a retractable entry gate along with new metal stock from @ims_metals and beautiful art glass from @pacificartglass. p.c. Gary Moss Photography Function is elevated through beauty and now our herb garden is protected from the adorable bunnies of this Conejo Valley while the structure throws pools of liquid blue and green on the DG. All while re-using leftover parts, some of a bygone era. (Sigh. Oh, single-paned steel windows, we love you - even though you are completely energy inefficient) The parabolic angle-iron arch was critical to the design so we sallied forth through the tantrums it caused. As lovers of #stainedglass in general, we loved seeing this larger scale project come together.
