This project was all about resurfacing an existing deck, which provides a significant amount of benefits, including:
- Enhanced Aesthetics: A deck resurfacing project can transform the appearance of the deck, giving it a fresh and modern look that can significantly improve the curb appeal of the entire home.
- Cost Savings: Resurfacing is often more cost-effective than completely rebuilding a deck. It allows homeowners to achieve a like-new appearance without the expense of a full replacement.
- Increased Durability: New materials used in resurfacing are designed to be more resistant to wear, fading, and the elements, resulting in a longer lifespan for the deck.
- Improved Safety: Addressing structural issues during the resurfacing process ensures the deck's safety and stability, reducing the risk of accidents.
- Less Disruption: Compared to a full deck replacement, resurfacing typically involves less disruption to the homeowner's daily routine, as it's a faster and less invasive process.
- Customization: Homeowners can choose from a wide range of materials, colors, and finishes to match their design preferences and complement their home's style.
- Environmentally Friendly: Resurfacing reduces the amount of old material that needs to be disposed of, making it a more environmentally conscious option.
By undertaking a deck resurfacing project, homeowners can rejuvenate their outdoor space, enjoy a beautiful and functional deck for years to come and increase the overall value of their property.

This in-law suite was renovated with visiting aging parents in mind. This client requested a unique design that delivered an elegant spa-like feel with safety and comfort in mind. Blocking was done to prepare for possible grab bars, and a hand-held showerhead was installed with a separate clip for placement of the hand-held for a seated person showering. A teak flip away shower seat was installed for future use. We also designed a custom flooring pattern, involving several tile cuts and an advanced tile layout for increased aesthetic. The end result is a gorgeous bathroom for anyone to use

This top floor San Francisco Condo renovation involved removal of a load bearing wall in between the kitchen and the hallway. The building's weight was redistributed by adding structural beams in the ground floor garage. The wall between the dining/ living space originally had three separate doors. One door was removed to increase usable wall space in both kitchen and living areas. The changes allow better light flow, use of space for entertaining, and everyday function. The transformation is a great example of using practical & modern elements to update a traditional Edwardian condominium for modern family living.

To create a more open and functional kitchen, our design solution involved removing the walls around the oversized pantry and replacing it with a custom built-in breakfast nook. This allowed us to uncover and make use of an existing window while adding two more windows around the nook, dramatically increasing natural light and making the space feel brighter and more inviting. To preserve storage, we kept the full-height green cabinetry, ensuring the homeowners still had ample dedicated pantry space.

Complete kitchen remodel that included replacing old cabinets, installing new quartz countertops, and updating the layout to improve functionality and flow.
The project involved relocating appliances, modifying plumbing and electrical connections, and removing the existing bulkhead to create a cleaner ceiling appearance. New tile flooring was installed throughout the kitchen, along with modern recessed lighting to enhance brightness and improve the overall design.
The final result is a contemporary kitchen with improved layout, better lighting, and a modern finish that increases both comfort and home value.

This home has a split roof, divided by the chimney. This particular roof design does create its own set of concerns. Gutter cleaning can be tricky, as the only strong support for a ladder is the chimney itself; however this involves trying to clean the gutters while facing them at an awkward angle, increasing the danger of a fall from a ladder. These issues make the gutter guards a good choice, and professional cleaning important home maintenance.

The primary objective of this project was to enhance the layout of the ground floor and expand the kitchen area. Similar to many single-family cottages constructed before the 2010s, the typical ground floor layout consisted of a kitchen, formal living room, formal dining room, dinette, vestibule, and a den. However, in recent years, the demand for formal spaces has waned while the desire for larger and more practical kitchens has significantly increased.
To achieve this goal, we embarked on a project that involved demolishing the wall separating the existing kitchen from the formal dining room. This allowed us to expand the kitchen into the former formal dining room space. We relocated the dining room to what was previously the formal living room, effectively eliminating the need for a formal living room. The result is a new kitchen with significantly enhanced storage and prep areas, making it much more functional.

The homeowners envisioned a functional home with spacious living areas, bright interiors, and indoor/outdoor spaces for entertaining and outdoor recreation. The first phase of the project involved a house lift that increased the ceiling height in the basement, transforming the space into a more usable floor plan to house a spacious family room, two bedrooms, a bathroom, and a laundry room. This structural change laid the foundation for further enhancements while extending the longevity and structural support of the property. New plumbing, upgraded electrical systems, and the addition of a heat pump further enhance the home’s efficiency and comfort.

This project involved a complete electrical upgrade in a residential garage in Calgary, transforming the space into a clean, functional, and well-lit environment.
We installed new LED lighting to provide bright, even coverage throughout the garage, along with additional receptacles to support tools, equipment, and future use such as a home gym or workspace. The layout was designed to improve usability and eliminate dark areas, making the space more practical for everyday use.
The electrical system was upgraded to safely handle increased demand, with proper circuit distribution and code-compliant installation throughout.
Whether used for storage, projects, or additional living space, this garage is now fully equipped with reliable, modern electrical infrastructure.

These homeowners wanted to change their old, original wooden garage doors to modern, steel garage doors with a genuine wood 'look'. The brand-new doors are light weight yet well-insulated for increased energy efficiency and quiet operation. The beautiful Walnut finish provides an authentic wood appearance along with decorative hardware for a carriage house vibe. The door installation involved some re-framing for a perfect fit too. | Photo and Project Credits: ProLift Garage Doors of Garland Tx
