This forever home, perfect for entertaining and designed with a place for everything, is a contemporary residence that exudes warmth, functional style, and lifestyle personalization for a family of five. Our busy lawyer couple, with three close-knit children, had recently purchased a home that was modern on the outside, but dated on the inside. They loved the feel, but knew it needed a major overhaul. Being incredibly busy and having never taken on a renovation of this scale, they knew they needed help to make this space their own. Upon a previous client referral, they called on Pulp to make their dreams a reality. Then ensued a down to the studs renovation, moving walls and some stairs, resulting in dramatic results. Beth and Carolina layered in warmth and style throughout, striking a hard-to-achieve balance of livable and contemporary. The result is a well-lived in and stylish home designed for every member of the family, where memories are made daily.

An incredible bathroom, with excellent marble polished slabwork installed in the shower. It's beautiful! When marble is too high for the family budget, but you just can't resist this look, consider substitutions with equally pleasing porcelain polished tiles that have all of the grand beauty of all sorts of natural quarried blends.

These two incredible sinks are truly one of a kind sourced directly out of France. Each one is a chunk of petrified tree (so yes, they weigh a ton), that has been carved out and polished to create on of the most unique looking vessels you'll ever find. This renovation was a complete gut of a loft suite above a triple car garage formally used for little more than storage. The layout we provided our client with, gave them over 1100 sq.ft of master bedroom, walk-in closet and main floor laundry. Designed to compliment the earthly nature of a log home, we combined many unique rustic elements with clean modern fixtures and a soft rich colour pallet. All this complimenting stunning views of the Canadian Rockies! A little piece of paradise.

What surprises people most when entering and walking on the glowing white surface in this particular Private Residence (Williamsburg, VA) is when they find out they are walking on a sea of glass! Yes, GLASS! Not marble, not granite, but GLASS! Nathan Allan has created a very fresh, unique flooring surface, which is smooth to touch on the majority of the glass surface, yet has an almost invisible safety finish permanently embedded in the glass surface.
THE GLASS
Nathan Allan’s Glass Flooring incorporates features which are visually stunning, while also providing a safety finish which provides comfort to everyone walking on the glass. Our Sandstone texture is forged into the bottom surface of the glass, while our exclusive Glass Sandpaper safety finish is fused onto the walking surface. To enhance all features, we added a bright, sparkling, White Metallic color finish throughout each flooring panel.
SPECIFICATIONS
Each Glass Flooring panel is produced in 1/2″ (12mm) thick, Low Iron, tempered safety glass. Tempered glass provides added strength, insuring that the Glass Flooring can accept a heavy load. Panels vary in size and dimension, with most panels measured at a block size of 5’0 x 6’0 (1500mm x 1800mm). Perimeter Edge panels were carved and shaped to fit tightly against the curved walls. Glass Sandpaper, ASTM tested in labs with the highest slip-coefficient safety ratings, is fused onto the walking surface, to provide a very comfortable and effective safety feature.
Flooring Glass Details:
1/2″ (12mm) thick, Low iron tempered safety glass
Flat Polished Edges
Glass Sandpaper on walking surface
Sandstone texture on bottom surface
White Metallic color finish on bottom surface
Panels sizes up to 5’0 x 6’0
Approximately 800 square feet of glass flooring
Perimeter panels shape cut to fit
Almost overshadowed by the spectacular flooring is a 1.5” thick, Heavy Glasstop, Crescent shaped, with Nathan Allan’s Rocky Mountain texture.
DESIGN
A White Sea of Glass flooring is the finished result of combining a light Sandstone texture on the bottom glass surface, with the added touch of a sparkling White Metallic color finish. Combined with our Glass Sandpaper safety finish, and the natural and artificial light sources, our Glass Flooring shimmers within the entire entrance space.
INSTALLATION
Using very important installation techniques, Nathan Allan worked hand in hand with great team of professionals: Vicki Bristow, designer, W. M. Jordan Company, GC, and Pompei Inc, glass flooring installer. Templates were produced for all perimeter edge panels, and every shaped panel. All flooring panels are secured to the substrate with special adhesives, and joints are filled with matching color sealants.
“A beautiful project is always enhanced when working with quality, prestigious builders, and talented trade’s people. As master of the perfect mix, LaMont Bynum can magically transform a raw space or breathe new life into what already exists.
His education in interior design combined with his penchant for problem solving and passion for transforming lives led to him following his calling to become a designer. Lamont thrives on working with clients to refine a vision and make it reality. He believes happiness is not something you postpone for the future; it is something you design for the present.
LaMont is a native of Suffolk, VA, a small town with a rich heritage. A Southern gentleman, he developed an eye for color, good design and great style early on. He grew up in a family whose love for interior design led to friendly family design competitions. The “creative types” who raised him served as his primary source of inspiration.
A graduate of Howard University, Lamont worked in hospitality sales and marketing before opening Rite At Home, Atlanta‘s premier consignment furniture boutique, in 2012. He serves on the Board of Directors for Rebuilding Together Atlanta, an organization working to ensure that low-income homeowners — particularly older adults, military veterans, people with disabilities and families with children — are able to live in warmth, safety and independence. Also, he chairs the Board of Directors for the Adamsville Business and Community Partnership. Lamont is always looking for ways to impact communities through engagement and design.
He has worked with Fortune 500 companies to develop their work and fun spaces for employees and even designed their CEO’s personal living spaces. LaMont believes no project is too small or too big, everyone deserves an environment conducive to dream, relax and make life happen.
With timeless, sophisticated taste, LaMont’s design style is classy, inviting, and also incredibly detail oriented. His ability to transform both residential homes and commercial projects by layering rich textures, colors, and fabrics has placed him on Atlanta’s Top 25 Designer List four times.

The homeowners of this 1906 home in East Harriet are returning customers of Castle. They remodeled their hallway bath style a few years ago with a similar vintage; which went viral via Houzz. Check out project details and photos on our website: http://www.castlebri.com/bathrooms/featured-project-7/ The clients were so pleased with Castle’s work on the last project, they chose to work with us again for their 2nd bathroom remodel.
After seeing the home and space we had to work with, the designer and homeowners decided an en suite would bring the biggest return of enjoyment and return on investment. By taking an existing dressing room, we were able to make this happen. We relocated the original hall bedroom entry into the new dressing room space. We were able to create a really beautiful entry to both the bedroom and the new master bath as well as a new more appropriately sized dressing space. We were able to salvage the original bedroom and bath doors to be reinstalled at new locations, and then new French doors were installed for a grand entry into the bedroom. By having the glass French doors between the bedroom, new dressing room/en suite entry and bath, the bedroom now has a 2nd source of natural lighting. For this new bathroom, we wanted to create a similar vintage feel to coordinate with the hallway bath. A new clawfoot tub was installed with vintage inspired shower and curtain rod, a salvaged cast iron radiator, new built-in storage at the attic knee wall, new vanity with carrara marble counters, and to complete the space 1” hex tile floor and beautiful millwork to match the original style in the home.
The homeowners are incredibly happy with their new space and proud to have a Minneapolis home with an en suite!

Design considerations included strong sun and wind protection while maintaining views. The site is remote which posed a challenge during construction, but these spectacular views are well worth it.
The incredible vista from this site called for a home with three glass walls. Since the climate didn't allow for that, we built the home with 12” thick super insulated walls with quality windows that frame the amazing views, which achieved the desired cozier feel. A big overhang was added on the west to provide some outside covered space which protects the living room from the late sun until it goes down behind the mountain across the way. The client opted to install a ground source heat pump to offset heating and cooling costs, as well as a soapstone masonry heater to beat the winter chill. Exterior materials (Cement board products and metal roof) were chosen for low maintenance properties and fire resistance in this very remote location.
A guesthouse/office was located just far enough away for privacy and oriented to capture the up valley views and the view across the drainage, from the office space on the second story, where windows on three sides of the dormer make you feel like you are outside.
