Recommended by their designer, large tiles like these are often used in commercial buildings, but the designer knew they were a cost effective (and beautiful) solution for this home. The renovation also included: A much larger island for cooking and entertaining, custom-made faucets with hot and cold taps, a built-in refrigerator, and a double beverage fridge at the end of the island. We put in two laminated cabinets in two contrasting colors: Wilsonart White Cypress and Wilsonart Black Velvet Traceless. Lastly, we installed hydronic floor heating and AC, ensuring comfort year-round. The result is a beautifully modern kitchen that is both functional and aesthetically pleasing. Our initial plan included minimal demolition by re-organizing the walls between the 2 Bathrooms and keeping the existing plumbing rough-ins in place, while updating the fixtures. However, unwelcome surprises are sometimes inevitable in renovations. Even though we conducted a thorough investigation during the planning stage, we were faced with plumbing in the Shared Bathroom that was not done correctly and may even have been illegal. Because of this, relocating the rough-ins in the Shared Bathroom were necessary after all, which then meant re-planning the walls in between the 2 Bathrooms. We’re thrilled to share our latest completed project — a stunning outdoor living space featuring a large patio, custom deck, and outdoor kitchen! This project was 11 months in the making, starting from the initial design phase, detailed construction cost estimating, permitting and approvals, all the way through to a 4-month construction timeline. Our client came to us with a strong vision — one that included unique curved elements throughout. Though we hadn’t executed curved designs like these before, we embraced the challenge head-on and delivered! These Essex County, NJ homeowners contacted us to design and install a resort-like outdoor living space in their backyard. For the vanity, a furniture-like cabinet style with soft close hardware. The brown stain was paired perfectly with a brown engineered quartz countertop that had specs of copper. We installed new undermount sinks and new chrome faucet. Instead of the typical matching stone 4” backsplash we opted to use the said mosaic used in the shower to tie the 2 areas together. The shower turned out beautifully. We coordinated the quarts from the vanity and used the same material on the shower seat and the top of the armrest. We used a total of 4 tile materials, a glass mosaic in the niche, floor, ceiling and outside of the shower. A linear mosaic from floor to ceiling and a large format tile installed vertically on the walls. The shower fixtures used in this shower were a ceiling-mounted rainfall shower and a handheld shower sprayer.
