This double wooden gate included a split into 1/3 - 2/3 to create an enclosed courtyard in the carport area. There were children at the property, and so stoutness of hardware as well as security were of utmost importance. The home is a Craftsman style, and the gates were built to complement that. The hardware chosen was made of solid bronze to coordinate with the Craftsman appearance. Photos by Victor Robinson Design (www.vicrobinson.com)

Exterior forms are emphasized with glass and fiber-cement panels at the top level, soaring over and sheltering containers clad in tougher, leathery Corten Steel at the ground level. Exposed concrete walls and rock-filled gabion retaining was selected to anchor the partially day-lighted basement level and garages to the land. Materials were chosen to be low-maintenance, relatively inexpensive, and to contrast the volumes that express the interior spaces.

This master bathroom is an oasis of clean, bright design with an abundance of natural light. Our Miami clients wanted a contemporary space, and we gave them hyper modernism with custom materials imported from Italy. A glass walk-in shower with sleek fixtures is a subtle touch to balance the dramatic artwork. Our favorite feature in this master bath is the hand-made mosaic micro tile wall. --- Project designed by Miami interior designer Margarita Bravo. Barn style doors are a unique focal point and add rustic charm to any interior. Sliding barn doors are also space savers since they are level with the wall when opened; keeping spaces open and airy. Made in the US at our Pacific Northwest facility, each of our hand-crafted barn doors are made to order and come fully assembled, ready to hang. Choose from several configurations including Two Panel Plank, Crossbuck, Double Crossbuck and Arch Top. Doors are constructed of special-grade Pacific Northwest Douglas Fir, kiln-dried to prevent wood movement with full-dimension framing on front and back for added strength. Doors are sold unfinished allowing you to paint, stain or distress to suit your individual décor. All doors ship for a flat $50 fee within the continental US. See the Barn Pros website for more information.

Home design - traditional three-story brick beige home design idea with a clipped gable roof

This mid-century custom home had always intrigued me, so I was thrilled when asked by the homeowners to help to renovate their kitchen, master bath as well as three other bathrooms. Having a true sense of the home's essence and history, they were not afraid to use exotic and precious finishes to highlight its uniqueness. All doorknob sets and faucet sets are by Sherle Wagner and carefully selected by the homeowners to be unique to each space.
