This is a beauty! Allheart Redwood wood with a Dark Walnut stain. Includes archway over tabletop and diamond bin, curved corners with waterfall racks leading down. With a beautiful wine room chandelier. "Eric Flores was very helpful with hints and videos. The racks assembled quite well as the components' quality was very consistent. The nail gun really reduced assembly time. A nail would occasionally go slightly to the side due to wood grain and would have to be redone. This was probably less than one percent. Overall, I would give the kits a 9.5 /10.0. The room is 8'-10" x 11'- 8" with 2x6 wall studs, sprayed foam insulation, and an exterior "speak-easy" door. We are using a WhisperKool through-the-wall unit with a bottle probe holding 60 degrees F and 50% humidity. The fun part was the trip to Healdsburg (Sonoma County) to stock up on their local award winning Cabs, Zinns, PNs, & Chards."

The antebellum homes of New Orleans always had thick plaster walls which helped keep the house insulated throughout the year. Lathe boards were what helped hold the walls and soft plaster together. The strips would have been cut and applied to the interior of the wall, and then a plasterer would apply wet plaster to the boards. The strips and their weathered past form an interesting geometric pattern as they move along the tops and sides of the table. Each piece is made to order and can be customized to your preference. This is an understatement when it comes to the St. Walburga Abbey (featured in the New York Times and recipient of the Faith & Form Millennium Award for Religious Architecture). As a subcontractor to GH Phipps, our ICF expertise helped during the various expansions to the facility. Phase Four resulted in a new high mountain plains two-story, 20-room living quarters, as well as an addition to the main Sanctuary. Our team installed 12” ICF wall systems from the footings to the roof. The ICF block we used contains recycled content (not virgin foam) enabling the building to achieve R-50+ and a 4-hour fire ratings.

Hammer & Hand, along with architect Mary Hogue from MKM Architecture and designer Charlotte Cooney of Domestic Arts, transformed a boxy, closed off space into an open and flowing floor plan. H&H caged out the openings from the entryway into the living room, from the living room to the dining room, and from the dining room into the kitchen to turn four compartmentalized spaces into one flowing area. The team also did a complete remodel of the kitchen, creating an open space perfect for cooking and socializing. Nooks with floating shelves help organize the kitchen while keeping bar items and spices visible and accessible. A solid copper range hood from Vent-A-Hood and striped Marmoleum floor add interest to the otherwise neutral space.
