Townhouse renovation in Brooklyn: We redesigned the rear end of the house as an expanded family kitchen with a back door to the deck. We also added a new connection from the entrance hall to the kitchen and fit a small powder room under the stairs. The old windows and doors were replaced with new, larger ones, and the entire kitchen was gutted and refitted with new cabinetry and a banquette dining area. Our latest project, an elegant modernisation of a 1920s seafront detached Essex property, features in the February 2024 edition of 25 beautiful Homes. This enterprise grew from an initial entrance hall cabinetry commission into a much larger project, encompassing many aspects of interior design, including decorative schemes for colours and finishes, spatial planning and lighting design. We also produced a wide range of cabinetry designs throughout the property, including the wine wall, principle bed and headboard, his and hers dressing room wardrobes and bespoke 5m drop staircase lighting feature, which runs through the whole house. We were fortunate to be part of a great project team, working alongside talented builders Intelligent Building, joinery masters Nord Build and home automation wizards P&R Service.

The New Hope first floor remodel was conceived to blend functionality with timeless beauty across key areas of the home including the kitchen, mudroom, music room, and powder room. The design team worked closely with the homeowners to ensure that every space was not only visually cohesive but also elevated with purpose-driven upgrades. The overall palette merges soft, natural tones with bold accents, warm metals, and rich textures, striking a balance between comfort and sophistication. With a focus on personalized use and performance, each room now supports the family’s lifestyle through intelligent design and custom detailing.

The design task was to create a 160 m2 family house, an elegant, light, cheerful home for a young couple. We could already start work from the architectural plans, so they could even initiate some minor modifications to those. Cooking plays an important role in the lives of the customers, so the detailed kitchen utensil requirements were part of the brief. They would also like to have kids in the future, so the goal was to make the kitchen, dining room and living room function as one space, and the dining room extendable. However, a relatively small space was available for this, so the kitchen was given an unusual formal design. With every detail in mind, the most current mechanical and intelligent systems have been integrated into the house: from the unique drying system in the laundry room to the chamber. An interesting solution is the placement of the sinks in one of the bathrooms, their back wall functions as a screen for the shower. In addition, one half of the building is underground, so those solutions have been preferred, which allow more natural light into the interiors (e.g., acid-coated glass and glass bathroom doors have been used in the common wall of the illuminated staircase and bathroom). We were free to walk between styles. So geometric, playful shapes, customer-preferred blue and oak veneered wood surfaces create harmony in the spaces. The walls feature contemporary posters, custom prints and contemporary artwork.
