Bob Michels Construction’s submission is a unique space featuring a car carousel which operates both as a space to highlight the owner’s car collection and the functional purpose to turn cars around and drive out of the showroom. Phantom’s retractable screens turned the open-air ramada into a large entertaining and gathering screened porch area with one touch of a button. “Phantom’s retractable screens were used to achieve a desired mix of modern and traditional finishes,” said Andrew Michels, Vice President of Bob Michels Construction. “Phantom Screens is the only company that allowed the customization of this unique space with a long-lasting and sustainable product.” The winner was selected by a panel of Phantom Screen judges and evaluated primarily on design and creativity, market appeal and livability, and product integration. I was brought in during the demo phase of the build out to work with the building committee on the overall aesthetic which included space planning, finishes, fixtures, furniture and lighting throughout the space. The kitchen area has two cooking stations, two sinks and tons of prep area, as well as an eat-in bar. The wet bar is located near the lounge area and the dining area, with high top cafe style tables, can also be used for overflow at the lounge. The cafe tables can be lined up together to create one long dramatic dining table when needed for events. This all lends itself to the space being quite versatile, which works well for the various events hosted at the lodge.

Beatrice Row building’s architecture was inspired by reminiscent of London’s and New York’s best and also, by Almeria Row’s successful vision giving as a result a façade full elegant coral stone architectural details, cast stone cornice and hand-crafted bronze-finished balconies. The responsible of bringing this project to life are MG Developer and the internationally recognized architectural firm de la Guardia Victoria Architects and Urbanists (DLGV Architects). Beatrice Row townhomes also benefit from an incredible sense of space and freedom thanks both to high ceilings and living space afforded to each unit.
