This remodel involved stone and wood demo. A bespoke custom designed Limestone mantelpiece and limestone accents. After re-installing stone around the new mantelpiece, we did a full re-grouting of the joints with our proprietary lime grout and continued with the lime grout over-wash of the stone.

Inspiration for an eclectic wooden straight staircase remodel

Before and After photos of a concrete fireplace surround we recently installed in a residence in Old Greenwich, CT. This remodel involved the replacing of the traditional brick facade with a more contemporary concrete fireplace surround to match the new gray washed cabinetry and shelves. Instead of a single slab of concrete, the surround is made up of multiple panels of various size to give it a modern, deco look. Designed with John Johnstone of Modern Classics.

Turning their entire back yard into a secret garden involved the careful use of outdoor lighting, including path lighting, garden lighting, column lighting to create a soft wash of light against the brickwork. At Delaware Valley Outdoor Lighting our thoughtful design and professional installation took into account the need to work with great care among the established trees and hedges.

A unique distressed finish on the kitchen island involves raising the grain of the wood and finishing it with a natural stone-colored wash. A glass paneled cabinet offers additional storage for decorative kitchen items.

AFTER: Due to its two-story proportions, the porch has a presence that belies its 60-in-wide footprint. A new drainage system, involving 15 tons of washed road gravel and over 300 feet of underground drain pipe, directs runoff away from the house. truetoformdesign.com presents another masterful feat in design, craftsmanship and client fulfillment! This is a Walnut and Painted exterior TV DISPLAY w/a Walnut interior. The initial concept was to visually keep it simple with the floating cabinets and solid back panels. The actual details and execution in fabricating this piece was quite involved. The cabinet doors & drawers are beveled with the top and bottom of the continual outer shell creating a crisp color transition. The perimeter of the book-matched TV panel has a series of frames utilizing the direction of the grain to reinforce the concave shapes while using a painted boarder to define them. The outer most frame allows us to scribe the unit to the ceiling and create a spacial effect on the sides further enhanced with the RGB LED lighting behind washing color over the extreme end panels. The floating shelves off to one side add the asymmetry needed to allow a reserved amount of display and dynamics.
