Custom Barrier-Free Bathroom Remodel
We recently had the honor of remodeling this bathroom for a local veteran to make his daily routine easier and more comfortable. The main goal was to transform a standard bathroom into a fully handicap-accessible space. We designed a custom, curbless walk-in shower that allows a wheelchair to roll right in without any bumps or barriers in the way. By removing the old tub and door, we opened up the entire room, giving him the freedom and independence he deserves.
The design isn't just functional—it’s beautiful. We used large-format marble tiles on the walls and a slip-resistant pebble floor in the shower for a natural, high-end look. To make sure it was safe, we installed sturdy, modern grab bars and custom recessed niches to keep soap and shampoo within easy reach. We even added a sleek linear drain and a rain shower head to give it that luxury spa feel.
Whether you are looking to make your home more accessible for a loved one or you just want to upgrade to a modern, open-concept shower, we are here to help. We take pride in our custom work and love finding solutions that make life better for our customers. Give us a call today, and let’s talk about how we can build a custom bathroom that fits your specific needs!

Combine ancient temples with overwater villas for the trip of a lifetime
There's a reason savvy travellers are increasingly looking beyond single-destination holidays. The Sri Lanka Maldives multi-centre trip has emerged as one of the most sought-after combinations in tropical travel—and it's easy to understand why. These two Indian Ocean neighbours couldn't be more different, yet together they create a holiday experience that satisfies every type of wanderlust.
Why Combine Sri Lanka and the Maldives?
Sri Lanka offers what the Maldives doesn't: lush highlands carpeted in tea plantations, ancient cities steeped in 2,500 years of history, wildlife safaris where leopards roam free, and a culinary scene that'll have you dreaming of hoppers and kottu for years to come. The Maldives, meanwhile, delivers what Sri Lanka can't: those iconic overwater bungalows, some of the planet's most pristine coral reefs, and the kind of barefoot luxury where your biggest decision is whether to have your massage on the beach or in your private villa.
A Sri Lanka and Maldives twin centre holiday lets you experience the thrill of exploration followed by pure, unadulterated relaxation. It's the best of both worlds—literally.
The Perfect Itinerary Balance
Most travellers find that spending 7-10 days in Sri Lanka followed by 4-7 days in the Maldives creates the ideal rhythm. Sri Lanka demands more time because there's simply so much ground to cover. You might start in Colombo, travel through the Cultural Triangle to explore Sigiriya's ancient rock fortress and Dambulla's cave temples, wind through the tea country around Ella, and perhaps end with a safari in Yala National Park before catching your flight to Malé.
Then comes the reward: touching down in the Maldives, boarding a speedboat or seaplane, and watching the stress of everyday life disappear as those famous turquoise lagoons come into view. After days of early morning temple visits and winding mountain roads, there's nothing quite like sinking into a lounger with nothing on the agenda but deciding which shade of blue you're looking at.
Logistics Made Simple
One of the best aspects of this combination is how geographically convenient it is. Colombo and Malé are just over an hour apart by air, with multiple daily flights connecting the two capitals. This proximity means minimal travel fatigue and maximum time enjoying your destinations.Find More here https://holiday.com.mv/sri-lanka-and-maldives-twin-centre-holidays/
For those considering expanding their Indian Ocean adventure even further, Maldives multi-centre holidays open up possibilities beyond Sri Lanka. Dubai, Singapore, and various Indian cities all serve as excellent add-on destinations, turning an already incredible trip into a true odyssey.
Planning Considerations for 2026
Timing matters with this combination. The Maldives enjoys fairly consistent weather year-round, but Sri Lanka has two distinct monsoon seasons affecting different coasts at different times. Generally speaking, December through April works beautifully for both destinations, making it the peak season for this twin-centre route.
Budget-wise, expect Sri Lanka to be significantly more affordable than the Maldives. Many travellers use this to their advantage, opting for boutique hotels and authentic local experiences in Sri Lanka, then splurging on a premium resort for their Maldives finale. It's a strategy that delivers exceptional value without sacrificing that once-in-a-lifetime overwater villa experience.
The Verdict
A Sri Lanka Maldives multi-centre holiday isn't just about ticking two countries off a list. It's about crafting a journey with genuine contrast and emotional arc—adventure followed by serenity, cultural immersion followed by indulgent escape. For couples, honeymooners, families, and solo travellers alike, this combination consistently ranks among the most satisfying itineraries the Indian Ocean has to offer.
If you've been dreaming of ancient ruins at sunrise and sunset cocktails on a private deck over crystalline waters, this might just be your year to make it happen.

CUSTOMER TESTIMONIAL
"This bench cushion replaced a very flimsy one in my son's room. He just got a new loft bed so we decided to upgrade his window seat cushion too, where he loves to sit and read. We had fun picking out the color and contrasting welting to match other accessories in his room. The cushion is perfect and I know it will hold up and be easy to clean. Thanks, Patio Lane!"

This beautiful bathroom remodel by Stoneunlimited Kitchen and Bath has all the bells and whistles that any dream bath should have.
Middleton Maple Medallion cabinetry in Frappe finish with soft close doors and dovetail construction are topped off with beautiful Brunello Quartz that have a soft veining pattern and look like marble. The decision to install 2 vanity top towers allowed for more storage solutions and created a vertical component that added balance to the room. Check out the before images of this part of bathroom our website, there used to be a linen closet on this wall.
The shower is luxurious with its Delta fixtures, 4 body sprays, hand shower and shower trim at the entrance for easy access to turning on the water. The hex patterned tile above the niche is a nice design element that draws the eye upward and in line with the mirrors installed on the opposite wall. A linear drain with tile insert, allows for drainage without the traditional look of a drain.
Serpentino Blanco Porcelain tiles throughout, add an element of texture with it's fluid soft veining pattern. The flooring isn't just beautiful, it's been upgraded. Heated floors throughout will provide warmth to the feet during cold days and our clients can even program the thermostat according to their bathing schedule.
Last but not least is the 60" free standing tub. It's tub filler and hand-shower make it the perfect place to soak and relax after a long day.

Location, location, location! Isn’t that what all of our real-estate friends and colleagues are always telling us? Our clients made a wise choice when purchasing this beautifully located ocean front property nestled in the dunes of Palm Beach, but they were presented with a challenge: how to take this luxury townhouse from dark and dated to a chic easy breezy dream home that reflects is naturally gorgeous sun and sand dunes surroundings as well as our clients laid back personalities.
Built in 1981, this dream home’s post-modern style with dark wood architectural features, cold concrete structure, and harsh lighting felt out of step by todays standards. Our solution: open the staircase and switch out the wood paneled banister for clear glass, exposing its grand design and allowing for amazing and unobscured views of the property’s outdoor spaces as well as the home’s common areas, permitting its large loft space to shine.
Bedrooms were treated to neutral color-schemes inspired by the Palm Beach dunes that surround this oceanfront home. An impressive pallet of textures and materials were chosen, and juxtapositions of lux linens and natural textiles like grass wall coverings and a large arrangement of sculptural branches brings the outside, in. Big and bold custom metal sculptures were installed in the primary bedroom along with hand blown glass light fixtures, adding that touch of glam that we are known for.
The private courtyard revamp is above and beyond anything you will see in Palm Beach. Playful and luxurious, it features a koi pond, a two story art installation and a dramatic custom stone waterfall. Its seating area makes great use of this homes original design by softening the heavy overhang with ceiling coverings in Peaky Cyprus and covering the walls with grass, creating a very cool and cozy space to relax and unwind. The entire courtyard is expertly illuminated by artistic lighting that makes every corner a sparkling treat for the eyes.
We had fun with this ambitious project and we hope your takeaway is to let location be your guide when looking for your dream home, because anything is possible in design but great surroundings are rare treasures that must be found and cherished.

What a way to be greeted. This foyer screams personality, and that isn't always easy to achieve in a confined condo entry way. We pumped the space full of style to invite people in. Layering textures and styles, this space is anything but boring.

In our work, we see lots of big homes with big spaces. We also see small homes. And we’ll be the first to tell you that size isn’t what matters.
What’s important is scale.
Through design, we can make a small space look big—or make a big space look small. But more important, we can use scale to make your home interiors meet your functional needs while reflecting your personality, values and style.
The Eyes Have It.
When you step into a room, where do you look?
Directing the eye is one of the magic tricks that designers use to create a particular effect.
Bright red apples in a simple glass bowl immediately draws the eye to a kitchen counter. The hefty wood trivet and rounded concrete planter containing succulents echo the shape of the apples and the bowl, while adding new materials. A wood and metal stand holds an iPad or book for easy recipe reference, all atop an elegant light granite counter.
In a separate arrangement, ceramic artichokes create shape and shine but maintain the neutral color for continuity.
In this context, the eye is drawn immediately to the bright red color. That’s why sparse seasonal decorations can be more effective than heavy ornamentation. We can actually take in more when there are fewer items to focus on.

Significant progress is evident in crafting this beautiful coastal-themed kitchenette. The white, wood-grain cabinetry immediately creates a light, airy foundation, perfectly setting the stage for a serene coastal aesthetic.
A key design element is the designated space for a panel-ready dishwasher. This allows for seamless integration of a custom cabinet panel, blending the appliance flawlessly with the surrounding cabinetry. This maintains the clean, uninterrupted lines crucial for a sophisticated coastal design and achieves a truly built-in, cohesive look.
While the air fryer's specific placement isn't explicitly visible, its integration in a modern coastal kitchen can be achieved smartly. Options include a dedicated appliance garage with a retractable door to keep it out of sight, a sturdy pull-out shelf in a base cabinet for easy access, or even stylish open shelf integration for frequent users, ensuring it aligns with the overall coastal decor.
The clear, possibly beach glass , cabinet knobs further enhance the coastal vibe, resembling sea glass and adding subtle charm. The microwave is already installed, suggesting the upper cabinetry is nearing completion.
Next steps will involve countertop installation, which will further define the space, and the integration of the custom dishwasher panel. This thoughtful customization, particularly for appliances, ensures this kitchen will be both visually stunning and highly practical for modern living.

At the center of this home, the kitchen isn’t just a place to cook—it’s where the family comes together. Designed with an open-concept layout, it flows effortlessly into the surrounding spaces, making it as inviting as it is functional. Since the homeowners are passionate about cooking, we prioritized thoughtful details, like a waterfall edge at the end of the island closest to the range to make meal prep an easy clean up. The oversized island acts as both a workspace and a gathering spot, providing ample room for everything. To enhance its overall impact, we selected an Orca stone for its continuous pattern and installed it with a book-matched pattern, ensuring a flawless, uninterrupted look across this showstopping centerpiece.

This client was in need of her own efficient home office. Her husband works from home, and she has plans to retire and continue to work from home as well. She already had an office but it lacked the storage that she needed. She came to us with an inspiration photo that we were able to recreate for her. She wanted space for display as well as closed storage and filing drawers. We also included 2 spaces for printers with sliding drawers for easy access. The client also wanted the center to house a record player and audio system. The middle cabinets have a metal grid on the face inside of a solid panel to allow breathing room and ventilation for audio equipment. In contrast, the entry wall on the other side of the room has more open storage with shelves on both sides of the double doors. This isn’t immediately seen when entering the office so it didn’t need to be perfect and orderly like the back wall of the office. Overall, we are thrilled with the way this office turned out, and we are so happy we were able to turn our clients’ vision into a reality!
