We couldn't be more pleased with how our wine room turned out. The racks arrived as promised even though I jumped the gun a little by writing you that some of the components didn't arrive. But they did the next day so my note was premature. The racks were easily assembled and fit as they were designed. I started out using the supplied nails, but quickly switched to a pneumatic brad nailer which made the process go faster and cleaner. As requested I've attached a photo of part of the room. We're using your racks mostly as storage though it looks like we may eventually do some collecting. We're now on a mission to fill some of the empty space you see in the photo. Your company was recommended to us by a neighbor who also built a wine room (Chris & Sandra Sheets). Our room measures 7' x 9' with a little alcove where I built a cabinet out of redwood to match the racks. We then added a 28-bottle fridge on top of the cabinet. I also added an LED rope light on top the racks, all hidden by some redwood trim pieces. Thanks for all the help and hand-holding during the process. I'd happily recommend Wine Cellar Innovations.

With three children under the age of 5, our clients were starting to feel the confines of their Pacific Heights home when the expansive 1902 Italianate across the street went on the market. After learning the home had been recently remodeled, they jumped at the chance to purchase a move-in ready property. We worked with them to infuse the already refined, elegant living areas with subtle edginess and handcrafted details, and also helped them reimagine unused space to delight their little ones. Elevated furnishings on the main floor complement the home’s existing high ceilings, modern brass bannisters and extensive walnut cabinetry. In the living room, sumptuous emerald upholstery on a velvet side chair balances the deep wood tones of the existing baby grand. Minimally and intentionally accessorized, the room feels formal but still retains a sharp edge—on the walls moody portraiture gets irreverent with a bold paint stroke, and on the the etagere, jagged crystals and metallic sculpture feel rugged and unapologetic. Throughout the main floor handcrafted, textured notes are everywhere—a nubby jute rug underlies inviting sofas in the family room and a half-moon mirror in the living room mixes geometric lines with flax-colored fringe. On the home’s lower level, we repurposed an unused wine cellar into a well-stocked craft room, with a custom chalkboard, art-display area and thoughtful storage. In the adjoining space, we installed a custom climbing wall and filled the balance of the room with low sofas, plush area rugs, poufs and storage baskets, creating the perfect space for active play or a quiet reading session. The bold colors and playful attitudes apparent in these spaces are echoed upstairs in each of the children’s imaginative bedrooms. Holly comments: “What I noticed right away about the visit to Celebrity IOU/ Jeremy Renner was the coordination that was taking place. There were a lot of workers, a lot of cars and trucks meaning the logistics in a tight side street is tricky. They keep everyone moving. No Stopping could be the motto. Once we went in, we signed documents, they took our pictures – my joke was that they did it so they would know who to cut from the show…my joke turned into foreshadowing, unfortunately. Inside the house, it was similar to the outside, lots of people, lots of movement. You had to find an area and not get in the way. Once the taping was about to start, the camera operators were in place, the mics were tested and they yelled: “Quiet on the set”. It felt very official. I enjoyed seeing Jonathan in action because I could see how natural he is in front of the camera. There were not many retakes if any. He really enjoys both the personal conversations as well as the materials and installation conversations. Outside, the neighbors were stopping by and Jonathan could not have been more gracious. He took pics with the neighbors, joked around, and gave hugs. At the end of a hot, sticky day, he jumped into his black limo and was wisked away. We stayed to figure out the installation.”

Sophisticated and chic living room boasts a lot of natural light. The client wanted to keep the existing fireplace 'as is' so CURE Senior Designer, Melanie Christoff's challenge was to create a conversational space that was layered but simple. The elegant olive green leather chairs was the jumping off point for this space, adding in the bookcases that flank the fireplace to create more of a built in look and feel. The natural stump coffee table and the live edge benches serve as the perfect juxtaposition to the clean lines and metal finishes in this space.
