The landscape berms have been installed and the edges of the pathway are defined. The square pavers were being used to check the level of the grade on the new pathway.

You can see two mature Rhododendron Albums backed up by mature Canadian Hemlocks. The specimen trees planted in the berm are Cornus Flordai which will be a great show in the springtime. Black Granite walkways becomes a gravel trench along the bottom of the berm diverting all the water to the back of the property for drainage.

Here we can see the full effect of the gradual slope of the berm. This berm is only in its first year of growth. As it ages, the root systems will become deeper and will allow the eco-lawn to grow long and flop over creating a different texture from the lawn. Eco-lawn only needs to be cut once a year, or as often as you would like!
