This office was created for the Designer Showhouse, and our vision was to represent female empowerment. We wanted the office to reflect the life of a vibrant and empowered woman. Someone that’s busy, on the go, well-traveled, and full of energy. The space also reflected other aspects of this woman’s role as the head of a family and the rock that provides calm, peace, and comfort to everyone around her. We showcased these qualities with decor like the built-in library – busy, chaotic yet organized; the tone and color of the wallpaper; and the furniture we chose. The bench by the window is part of our SORELLA Furniture line, which is also the result of female leadership and empowerment. A new design esthetic for Santa Fe style: contemporary architecture, high ceilings, lots of light and rooms with openness and volume. This home seeks to find a unique balance between contemporary and rustic design language through the use of modern and primitive elements. Old reclaimed beams and doors live side-by-side honed stone countertops and shiny, polished chrome fixtures. Hand planked wood floors and hand trawled plaster walls create rooms for hand carved Casa Marrón furniture and contemporary art. The ever-changing rich landscape colors of Santa Fe inspired the color palette, uniting inside and out and creating serenity in the spaces.

The Snow White Series, with its pure white tones, brings freshness and optical spaciousness to the space while creating a natural ambiance that integrates seamlessly with the water’s clarity. The Silver Traverten porcelain anti-slip terrace tiles add a luxurious touch to the landscaping with their sophisticated stone texture. With a water absorption rate below 0.5%, the products offer long-lasting durability and demonstrate strong resistance to UV rays and chemicals. The PTV ≥ 45° slip resistance ensures enhanced safety in wet areas. All these details provide more than just swimming comfort—they create a complete sense of luxury, visual harmony, and physical safety within the living space.

Crafting where life converges, veteran designer Fred M. Alsen believes every project has its own language of materials. A Chicago Bungalow kitchen, the Quarter Sawn Oak reflects bungalow style. The Greenfield Cabinetry painted in blue marries yesterday to today. The Farrow & Ball wallpaper is a nod to the Art Deco era when many of the Chicago bungalows were built. Built in the ‘70s, the home sits atop the San Rafael hills, giving it incredible views of the Bay. Our first priority: knock a few walls down to open the living space up to the dramatic landscape. Then, we sourced a kitchen set that made bling feel like an understatement—frameless, umbra Siematic cabinets with golden bronze hardware, matching open glass shelves, mirrored toe kicks, and a glitter backsplash grout. For further impact, we designed an island in a near-inverse color scheme—dark faux marble top, simple white walls, and a metallic border for a floating effect. Above this, we sourced distinctive glossy gold pendants that are hyper-modern but with a retro-influence. Finally, we completed the space by consulting on and sourcing elegant dining furniture that echoed the design language established, including a large white table with a uniquely artful stand.

To create a serene Modern Mediterranean outdoor sitting, dinning with pool and lounge area we did a complete renovation. We removed a portion of the concrete to create dinning area and built an outdoor kitchen with new appliances, sink and black leathered granite. New stucco walls complete landscape design.
