Our team reimagined this residence as a bright, breezy coastal retreat where every primary room captures the Atlantic, and the original architecture—coffered and beamed ceilings, arched passages, soaring window walls—was preserved and brought fully current. At the heart of the home, an open kitchen and dining space pairs crisp white cabinetry and stone countertops with terracotta floors, a Viking range beneath a plaster hood, woven pendant lighting, and French doors that fold open to a covered loggia. The family room was thoughtfully designed as the heart of the home, where custom built-ins, architectural millwork, and layered textures work together to create a warm and inviting gathering space. Integrated cabinetry provides both beauty and function, while the extensive millwork carried throughout the home establishes a cohesive design language that adds character, depth, and timeless elegance to the once builder-grade interior.

The client came to us looking for a remodeled kitchen and living space for their single-family home. They wanted to create a sleek, modern aesthetic with a touch of bling. Built in the ‘70s, the home sits atop the San Rafael hills, giving it incredible views of the Bay. Our first priority: knock a few walls down to open the living space up to the dramatic landscape. Then, we sourced a kitchen set that made bling feel like an understatement—frameless, umbra Siematic cabinets with golden bronze hardware, matching open glass shelves, mirrored toe kicks, and a glitter backsplash grout. For further impact, we designed an island in a near-inverse color scheme—dark faux marble top, simple white walls, and a metallic border for a floating effect. Above this, we sourced distinctive glossy gold pendants that are hyper-modern but with a retro-influence. Finally, we completed the space by consulting on and sourcing elegant dining furniture that echoed the design language established, including a large white table with a uniquely artful stand.

Set on Lake Chatuge in Hiawassee, Georgia, this rustic modern farmhouse sits close enough to the shoreline that a private dock runs straight off the back yard, with the Blue Ridge visible across the water. A tin-gray metal roof breaks into multiple gables and dormers over crisp white board-and-batten siding, while wood-tone shutters and a flagstone entry path bring in the rustic warmth. A full-width covered porch — deep enough for a run of rocking chairs — opens directly onto the lake and mountain view. Inside, the great room carries that same rustic-farmhouse language up to a vaulted, shiplap-clad ceiling crossed with exposed wood beams. A reclaimed sliding barn door anchors one end of the room, while a wall of glass doors keeps the water in view from the sofa.

This shingle-style home was designed to take advantage of Southern California’s temperate climate and sunshine by creating an environmentally and technologically advanced residence using a traditional design language. Unseen from the street, photo-voltaic panels supply the majority of the home’s energy needs, including solar hot water and radiant heating. To maximize envelope performance the house is super-insulated and its façade is ventilated. As is our practice on residences, we worked with the owners to develop spatial environments and interiors based on the family’s unique lifestyle.

This Raleigh, NC whole-home remodel began with a single premise: every space should feel connected, intentional, and entirely its own. The Lavish team redesigned each room as part of one unified vision — threading a cohesive palette of soft cream, warm oak, and layered slate blue through every finish and material selection, from the kitchen tile to the primary bath to the powder room wallcovering. Twin sage blue-gray vanities run along both sides of the room, each finished in a shaker-style painted cabinetry with polished chrome bar pulls and topped with a gorgeous Calacatta-style quartz — the same material flowing seamlessly across countertops and up as a low backsplash. Above each vanity hang individual black rounded-rectangle mirrors with matching chrome picture-light sconces, creating a clean, modern hotel-bath aesthetic that feels crisp without being cold. The walk-in shower is the undeniable heart of the room — a generous double-entry wet room featuring dual rainfall showerheads, dual handheld wand fixtures, and a natural light source through a privacy glass window that floods the space with soft, diffused daylight. Large format white wall tile set in a simple grid pattern keeps the shower feeling expansive and serene, while large-format Calacatta marble-look porcelain tile on the floor carries the quartz veining language from the vanities underfoot throughout the entire bathroom. The Laundry Room Just steps away, the laundry room received an equally remarkable transformation — one that proves this hardworking space can be just as design-forward as any other room in the house. Deep hunter green painted cabinetry with brushed brass bar pulls commands the room from floor to ceiling, creating a rich, dramatic palette that feels collected and intentional rather than builder-grade. Upper shaker-style cabinets maximize storage above the machines, while a tall pantry-style column cabinet on the end wall provides floor-to-ceiling concealed storage for supplies. A painted shiplap accent panel between the upper cabinets and the counter is fitted with a row of brass coat hooks — a dual-purpose detail that adds texture and hang space for bags and reusable totes. The counter surface in white quartz sits above the side-by-side front-load washer and dryer, creating a functional folding station. A white square tile backsplash behind the machines adds a clean, easy-care surface that holds its own against the bold green cabinetry. A built-in wood bench with open storage below creates a secondary mudroom function, while a warm-toned live-edge wood floating shelf adds organic contrast. A custom built walnut open bookcase tucked at the room's end provides stylish overflow storage that gives the space personality beyond its utility.

This recently built Bethesda home features two distinctive staircases that share a cohesive design language. The main staircase pairs natural wood treads with sleek steel horizontal rods, creating clean lines. The black wood newels and handrail create striking contrast with the lighter details. A custom spiral staircase echoes this aesthetic with jet-black metal triangular frames supporting natural wood treads. This office was created for the Designer Showhouse, and our vision was to represent female empowerment. We wanted the office to reflect the life of a vibrant and empowered woman. Someone that’s busy, on the go, well-traveled, and full of energy. The space also reflected other aspects of this woman’s role as the head of a family and the rock that provides calm, peace, and comfort to everyone around her. We showcased these qualities with decor like the built-in library – busy, chaotic yet organized; the tone and color of the wallpaper; and the furniture we chose. The bench by the window is part of our SORELLA Furniture line, which is also the result of female leadership and empowerment. The suite was gutted down to concrete and studs, taking down several walls in the process. The design was influenced by the character and materials of a converted New York loft, and using the vernacular West Coast Modern language, it was infused with warm wood accents, exposed concrete, and framed views of the North Shore mountains.

Located in Bitez, this villa pool project merges the clean lines of contemporary architecture with Serapool’s refined design language. The Snow White Series, with its pure white tones, brings freshness and optical spaciousness to the space while creating a natural ambiance that integrates seamlessly with the water’s clarity. The Silver Traverten porcelain anti-slip terrace tiles add a luxurious touch to the landscaping with their sophisticated stone texture. With a water absorption rate below 0.5%, the products offer long-lasting durability and demonstrate strong resistance to UV rays and chemicals. The PTV ≥ 45° slip resistance ensures enhanced safety in wet areas. All these details provide more than just swimming comfort—they create a complete sense of luxury, visual harmony, and physical safety within the living space.

The Blanc Home Nestled in the heart of Mumbai, this 660 sq.ft. residence designed by Studio Dhi is a seamless blend of modern elegance and everyday comfort. The interiors embrace a soft, muted palette enriched with textures, prints, and pops of colour. Abundant natural light filters through the home, accentuating curated furniture pieces and creating a warm, inviting atmosphere. Lighting plays a pivotal role across all zones of the project, carefully layered to enhance both mood and spatial perception. The design language is contemporary modern, with subtle hints of European charm. Defined by clean lines, tactile surfaces, and a neutral base, the white shell becomes a canvas for thoughtful detailing and personality. Each room carries a distinct identity while folding harmoniously into the larger narrative. The master bedroom exudes a warm, muted sophistication, while the mother’s bedroom is imbued with a feminine European touch—anchored in soft blues, blush pinks, and gentle greens. In the living room, a beige sofa grounds the space, complemented by fluted wall panelling and mirrored accents. A carved marble temple sits gracefully beside a mint-green console, set against a softly textured wallpaper backdrop. What elevates the residence beyond a modern European aesthetic is the layered craftsmanship—bespoke wall detailing, custom-designed furniture, and finely executed finishes. Art infuses colour and character, indoor greens soften the interiors, and a thoughtful lighting strategy highlights every crafted element.
