Someone that’s busy, on the go, well-traveled, and full of energy. The space also reflected other aspects of this woman’s role as the head of a family and the rock that provides calm, peace, and comfort to everyone around her. We showcased these qualities with decor like the built-in library – busy, chaotic yet organized; the tone and color of the wallpaper; and the furniture we chose. The bench by the window is part of our SORELLA Furniture line, which is also the result of female leadership and empowerment. Our client was drawn to the property in Wesley Heights as it was in an established neighborhood of stately homes, on a quiet street with views of park. They wanted a traditional home for their young family with great entertaining spaces that took full advantage of the site. The site was the challenge. The natural grade of the site was far from traditional. The natural grade at the rear of the property was about thirty feet above the street level. Large mature trees provided shade and needed to be preserved. The solution was sectional. The first floor level was elevated from the street by 12 feet, with French doors facing the park. We created a courtyard at the first floor level that provide an outdoor entertaining space, with French doors that open the home to the courtyard.. By elevating the first floor level, we were able to allow on-grade parking and a private direct entrance to the lower level pub "Mulligans". An arched passage affords access to the courtyard from a shared driveway with the neighboring homes, while the stone fountain provides a focus. A sweeping stone stair anchors one of the existing mature trees that was preserved and leads to the elevated rear garden. The second floor master suite opens to a sitting porch at the level of the upper garden, providing the third level of outdoor space that can be used for the children to play. The home's traditional language is in context with its neighbors, while the design allows each of the three primary levels of the home to relate directly to the outside. For a family putting down lasting roots in Park City, this 10,000-square-foot estate within the gated enclave of Quarry Mountain Ranch is conceived as both sanctuary and legacy. Designed to evolve alongside its owners, the home balances permanence with a deep sensitivity to the land it inhabits. Thoughtfully positioned within an alpine meadow shaped by the gentle flow of McLeod Creek, the residence embraces its setting. The waterway threads through the property, sustaining native grasses and drawing elk, deer, and migratory birdlife, grounding daily life in the rhythms of season and landscape. Broad planes of glass and sheltering rooflines frame uninterrupted views of ski slopes and distant ridgelines, while long sightlines pull natural light deep into the interior. Terraces and covered outdoor rooms mediate between house and meadow, creating spaces for gathering, reflection, and year-round connection to the outdoors. A restrained palette of wood and stone echoes the textures of the terrain, lending warmth and durability to the home’s contemporary expression. A separate guest house extends the architectural language, forming a discreet compound that supports family life, hospitality, and the enduring cadence of alpine living. Settled into the open prairie space of the residential Watauga, TX neighborhood, the Watauga Community Center looms smaller than it really is. Its design language of stepped clerestory linear windows bring the mass of the gymnasium scale down to a friendly, inviting scale. Architect Eric N. Rohlfing, in collaboration with LBL Architects, designed the 20ksf Watauga Community Center and park master plan. Amenities include: lobby, gymnasium, weight room, multi-purpose room, game room, art-craft-kiln room, classrooms, locker rooms, offices, lobby, exterior walkways, terrace and parking among existing native oaks. The 15 acre park site also features an existing senior center facility and proposed future natatorium, soccer fields and additional parking. The linear organization of the recreation center lobby will link to the future expansion and is abundantly lit with a ribbon of clerestory windows and skylights. The transparency between spaces via glass partitioning, facilitates natural lighting, exterior views, spaciousness, security, and the interconnection of activity between rooms. Likewise, the gymnasium, weight room and control center are also visually connected to each other and to the exterior with north glazing, glass partitions and clerestory windows. Surfaced-ground, exposed aggregate concrete block, brick, aluminum storefront glazing, standing seam galvanized roofing, exposed structural steel, stainless steel hardware, and clear varnished wood millwork comprise the Texas contemporary palette of materials.

Nestled in a wooded area in the Pacific Northwest, the 1800 sf Passive Cedar Haus was built as a retirement home. The Artisans Group designed the layout of the home, mindful of aging in place, and working to ensure that the home blended in with the surrounding natural beauty. The project meets a complex program, with an unheated sleeping porch for a master bedroom, a screened porch, a 600 sf caretakers apartment/mother in law unit, large wood shop, plus a two car carport. The home seamlessly integrates a floating cedar tongue and groove roof with large sheltering overhangs, clerestory windows, and language of cedar slats for privacy screens and doors inside and out. The warm, natural materials of wood and cork for the interior palette are punctuated by lively accents and stunning fixtures. This ultra energy efficient home relies on extremely high levels of insulation, air-tight detailing and construction, and the implementation of high performance, custom made European windows and doors by Zola Windows. Zola’s ThermoPlus Clad line, which boasts R-11 triple glazing and is thermally broken with a layer of patented German Purenit®, was selected for the project. Floor-to-ceiling windows in the main living area, gives an expansive view of the surrounding Northwest forest. The tops of these windows reveal the interior cedar clad and the up-swept soffits on the home’s exterior, creating a floating ceiling effect. Slatted spruce wood fly-overs break up the vertical areas of the great room and define separate areas that would otherwise feel like an overwhelmingly expansive space. Located on the front lines of a public beach walkway, this elegant artist residence layers public and private spaces in order to dynamically connect one’s lifestyle with the regenerative power of nature. The material language shifts between glass, oak, and stone as it explores concepts of porosity, translucence,and privacy. One of the home’s most notable elements is the strategic removal of living square footage to create a spa courtyard on the third level. Tucked away behind a terracotta screen and surrounded by lush vegetation on all sides, the spa acts as a private oasis in the heart of the home for reflection and reconnection. Despite rigid parameters, the home packs cutting edge engineering and design techniques into every centimeter of space. The result is a razor thin roof and floor plane delicately balanced atop massive stone walls. By reducing the density of these elements both above and below, the architecture is able to breathe and expand into its unobstructed views of the ocean and breathtaking sunsets.

This Raleigh, NC home was reimagined from the ground up — not room by room, but as a single, cohesive expression of how a family lives, gathers, and rests. The architecture drove every decision. Custom millwork and panel molding were carried through every space, creating a visual language that connects the entry to the living room, the dining room to the primary suite. It's what makes the home feel complete — not like a collection of individually finished rooms. In the kitchen, a full marble slab backsplash reads as one uninterrupted surface — giving the room its presence without competing with the custom white inset cabinetry and brushed nickel hardware. The dining room lives in deliberate contrast: deep-toned oak table, delicate botanical wallpaper, antique mirror. Light and organic, yet entirely considered. The living room was designed around its connection to the outside — French doors that open directly to a substantial outdoor kitchen and entertaining space, anchored on the interior by a cast stone fireplace with an arched surround that commands the room. The entry sets the expectation for everything that follows: a double-height foyer, geometric pendants cascading from above, large-scale original artwork, and a carved console that makes the first impression without overstating it. Nestled in the serene hills of Beverly Hills, this 5,900 sqft private residence designed by HENNE CREATIVE is a masterclass in minimal luxury. The architectural language merges sharp lines with warm materiality, creating an atmosphere of effortless sophistication and calm. The double height living room anchors the heart of the home, with expansive glazing that draws the surrounding landscape inward. A sculptural floating staircase connects both levels while embracing natural light, emphasizing verticality without overwhelming the space. The palette is defined by warm walnut ceilings, crisp white walls, large format porcelain surfaces, and soft natural micro cement floors balancing visual warmth with a serene, almost gallery-like restraint. The bespoke modular sofa and low slung furniture pieces reinforce a grounded, architectural approach to interior design. Soft curves in the lighting installation contrast the otherwise linear geometry, injecting fluidity and movement into the space. The fireplace wall, concealed storage solutions, and integrated lighting showcase HENNE CREATIVE's signature: form following function with quiet precision. Throughout the home, circulation is framed by uninterrupted sightlines and natural transitions between public and private zones. Hidden gardens, clean detailing, and material honesty all combine to offer a deeply meditative living experience where every element has been considered for both aesthetic impact and spatial clarity. The second and third phases expanded the soft contemporary design language throughout the home, including a second primary-level bath, kitchen, breakfast area, family room, laundry, dining spaces, flooring, doors, trim, cabinetry, and architectural detailing. Natural stone, maple millwork, curated lighting, garden views, and gallery-like focal points were used to create a cohesive interior that feels lighter, more personal, and more refined while honoring the home’s original character.
