This contemporary vacation home in Punta Gorda, Florida is the latest Art Dallas residential collaboration. Combining the owner’s artwork, their rock and roll photograph collection and new art, we were able to create a package of artwork that kept the project on budget and ready in just 3 weeks. Our in-house welding department created metal furniture to work with the artwork and picture framing package. We printed a large 96 wide by 48 high direct to metal print for the living room, framed the owner’s art and selected additional artwork to complete an art package with the look and feel the owners wanted. The Art Dallas consulting team took great care to create a visually appealing, livable, and workable space. The consulting team started with an open line of communication and kept the client involved in every step of the streamlined creative process! We love the vibe of this open floor plan space and are so grateful we could #makeitartful!

Perched in the rolling landscape of Alta, Wyoming, this legacy home was thoughtfully designed to belong to the land, not dominate it. Nestled into the hillside with sweeping views of the elk migration path and the Teton Range, every decision was made with future generations in mind. Led by Julie Cavanaugh, this project reflects her passion for designing legacy homes...places that honor family history, respect the land, and are built to be passed down for generations. With roots on this property dating back to the late 1800s, the homeowners envisioned a home that would tell their family’s story well into the future. As featured in the latest edition of Mountain Living Magazine, this home is more than a retreat, it’s a promise to the past and a gift to generations to come. With 70 acres of land, this timber framed home totals 5,752 sf. - 4 bed, 4.5 bath

Originally built in 1851, this private residence once served as the general store for the historic town of Odessa, Delaware. After several years of restoration projects, the owners decided to address the home’s undersized kitchen by building an addition in the area currently occupied by a poorly built enclosed porch. The owners’ desire was to have a modern kitchen that would provide them with the latest advancements, and an informal eating area that provided views to the back lawn and garden. In order to make the home livable, in spite of possible ambulatory issues that come with aging, a full bath was also on the ‘must-have’ list. Along with the spatial requirements, major importance was placed upon creating an addition which would blend in suitably with the historic home, using sympathetic and harmonious materials. The addition aligns the main workspace of the kitchen with the existing door leading from the original house and terminates with a Palladian window, while a vaulted barrel roof and ceiling celebrate the kitchen as the home’s new gathering space for friends and family. The curving bead board ceiling is up lit from fixtures mounted behind a traditional cornice, while traditional cabinetry in natural and painted finishes are topped by natural stone and wood counters. Traditional fixtures and reclaimed heart-pine plank flooring add both character and warmth to the rooms. The exterior brickwork takes its cues from the original house, while the horizontal siding accents the barrel roof and Palladian window. The cornice and standing seam metal roof match those of the existing structure. Joseph Mullan Photography
