Here we have a look at a 12" wide pantry cabinet to the right of the refrigerator, which serves two purposes. First we needed a place for a broom and a swiffer to be housed, and this cabinet also allowed the door on the refrigerator to open fully with out hitting the wall to the right. The wall was previously a half wall with spindles going to the ceiling, in addition to updating the look it gave us a place to add some light switches for all the added lighting.

The view of the kitchen, nook and living room area. Ample storage has been put into the kitchen with the addition of the pots and pan drawers, behind the frosted french doors is a spacious pantry which comes with it's own motion sensor, a standard for us! The nook has ample space for a big table and the doors lead to the deck off the rear. The living room is finished with a ribbon style fireplace, floating shelves that match the cabinetry and a wall mounted tv. This is a great use of space the open concept is going to make it a hit when it comes to visiting with family and friends.

Laundry and mud room complete gut renovation. Addition of multi-use zones for improved function. Custom cabinets featuring floating shelf above sink. Custom built bench and outerwear storage across.

The existing, builder-grade, kitchen was not functional, as it was poorly lit, much needed storage space was underutilized, and un-safe, as the microwave was hung over the sink, causing the homeowners to hit their heads while working at the sink. Being a unit in an historic building, I was unable to move any of the existing plumbing & electrical, but could add to, as we did with the recessed and under cabinet LED lighting, I moved the microwave to a safe location, off of the counter and next to the refrigerator, and took the cabinetry to the ceiling, gaining an additional 12" of vertical storage along the main wall of the kitchen. Due to a supply vent being on the wall above the refrigerator, we had to get creative in how we brought it through the crown molding build-up, which led to a custom vent cover, that was designed and then fabricated to fit perfectly. This kitchen is packed with details that all came together to create a stunning, yet functional, new kitchen.

Pairing their love of Mid-Century Modern design and collecting with the enjoyment they get out of entertaining at home, this client’s kitchen remodel in Linda Vista hit all the right notes.
Set atop a hillside with sweeping views of the city below, the first priority in this remodel was to open up the kitchen space to take full advantage of the view and create a seamless transition between the kitchen, dining room, and outdoor living space. A primary wall was removed and a custom peninsula/bar area was created to house the client’s extensive collection of glassware and bar essentials on a sleek shelving unit suspended from the ceiling and wrapped around the base of the peninsula.
Light wood cabinetry with a retro feel was selected and provided the perfect complement to the unique backsplash which extended the entire length of the kitchen, arranged to create a distinct ombre effect that concentrated behind the Wolf range.
Subtle brass fixtures and pulls completed the look while panels on the built in refrigerator created a consistent flow to the cabinetry.
Additionally, a frosted glass sliding door off of the kitchen disguises a dedicated laundry room full of custom finishes. Raised built-in cabinetry houses the washer and dryer to put everything at eye level, while custom sliding shelves that can be hidden when not in use lessen the need for bending and lifting heavy loads of laundry. Other features include built-in laundry sorter and extensive storage.

Knocking down walls to create this open concept kitchen in Bayport, Minnesota was the perfect floorplan to cater to a modern kitchen with clean lines. We chose custom "Dune" and “Indigo” colored cabinets while mixing and matching slab doors and five-piece shaker door fronts. The minimalist finger pulls almost disappear into the oversized island and perimeter lower cabinet doors and drawers. Mixing and matching the two cabinet styles created an interesting perspective of modern with the warmth of the natural wood. A matching boot bench used the same wood tones as the cabinets. We wanted to carry it one step further by creating custom slat paneling for the ceiling above the island as well as the backdrop and ceiling of the boot bench. This custom millwork by our carpenters was such a fun way to integrate even more of the indigo color. Feminine pale pink walls in “Abalone Shell” were a great way to grow the brown undertones of the cabinets. Cambria countertops with square edges and a beautiful undermount sink with industrial faucet balanced form with function. This remodeled space is now the "wow" when you walk through the front doors. Our clients had a vision of what they wanted and through some fantastic collaboration we were able to hit the mark!

This newly completed custom home project was all about clean lines, symmetry and to keep the home feeling sleek and contemporary but warm and welcoming at the same time. This basement bar is simple and classic, with a touch of fun. The dark matte stain on the custom cabinets makes you stop and stay a while while the glasses sparkling in the glass cabinetry and the lights hitting the iridescent backsplash help draw your eyes throughout the space.

As with many homes, a lack of useful closet space was a real problem for these homeowners. After the decision to build an addition for a closet was made, the design of the master bathroom was next. New vanities, granite countertops, mirrors, and tile flooring were changed to match the level of the new closet.
Upon completion of the master suite the homeowners were left to ponder updating the kitchen. With new cabinets, countertops, and a modern feel the kitchen is a big hit. Features include knotty alder cabinetry, a custom range hood. The final hurdle was the fireplace, after simplifying the design of the built-ins a elegant tile was installed with a floating mantle.
After going through a large portion of this main floor, creating storage solutions and modernizing the feel of the space it left us to now wonder, what’s next?

This gorgeous property just hit the market. I love the vaulted ceilings and original entranceway.
Rather than sell this home without furniture, we brought all the accessories and furniture in to help purchasers feel at home as they imagine their own furniture in the spaces. Generally, homes with open concepts are more difficult for buyers to separate the living areas if they do not see actual furniture in the space.
