Lisa Price This bathroom was a wreck from the 80s with a drop ceiling, country blue wall paper, oak accessories and pale country blue trim. The wallpaper wouldn't budge for anything so I used paintable wallpaper and also a 60s stripe accent wallpaper with blue, green, and gold. I painted the dark vanity white, stripped the top and put a clear coat on. i kept the weird vintage mother of pearl looking linoleum, love it. New lighting, toilet, sink, medicine cabinet, and fixed the ceiling by putting up cute beadboard paneling. Decor: vintage towels, vintage tissue holder and curtain fabric, artwork by friends. Also, I cut a long picture ledge shelf to add toiletry storage and lean artwork.

Being that cherry wood appeared in nearby rooms, this material was integrated into the remodeled space uniquely as a durable porcelain tile. This tile was installed as flooring in addition to facing the shower focal wall. A crisp, white engineered quartz was not only used as a countertop, but also caps the curb, pony wall, and interior of the shampoo niche to minimize pesky grout lines. 2014 NARI META Platinum Award: Sunnyvale Bathroom Remodel

Ann Kenkel Interiors Coastal Estate in St. Michael's Maryland on the Chesapeake Bay. House was designed after the original 1770's house on the property. Home was designed to be a formal house but was now being used as a weekend retreat. Ann Kenkel had to decorate the house in a manner which was coastal enough so owner's felt like they were on vacation yet formal enough for the style of the house. AK found the house filled with wallpaper from the 1980's. Wallpaper from every room was removed and all trim had to be painted a neutral color. The formal dining room only had one entry. AK opened up a second entry into the dining room which provided a view of the Chesapeake Bay.
