An old cottage by the ocean gets a new lease on life and reemerges as the house of these homeowners’ dreams. Required to stay within the confinements of the existing home, the new bathroom was carefully designed with useful space in mind. The double sink vanity features ceiling to counter storage designed with Barcelona Raised door style in Maple, and is finished in a custom color. The home’s design required duct work for heating and cooling to be above the soffit of the vanity, requiring custom molding. And the shower finished with natural stone, coupled with mirrored cabinetry door fronts, allows light to bounce within the space and creates the appearance of open space.

Atlanta is a city known in the South for its abundant shopping. The Atlanta area is home to one of the South's largest shopping malls, the Mall of Georgia, located in nearby Gwinnett County. Do you shop in Atlanta's North Georgia Premium Outlets? Carter's Retail Investment Sales Group negotiated the sale of the Publix-anchored center on Ashford-Dunwoody Road on behalf of seller REES 52 LLC of Atlanta. An Atlanta-based private equity group paid an undisclosed amount for the 58,000-square-foot center. The shopping center was 98 percent leased at the time of the sale. In addition to Publix, CVS/Pharmacy is a co-anchor tenant. Or try the North Point Mall, a super-regional shopping mall, located in Alpharetta, Georgia (a suburb of Atlanta). The mall opened October 3, 1993 as one of the largest shopping malls in the country.
Everyone celebrates and for the residents of North Atlanta Georgia, some of the festivals and events that they have each year include the Northside Hospital-Cherokee 25th Annual Easter Eggstravanganza where activities include a petting zoo, moon walks, carnival games, face painting, arts and crafts, food and more. A basement is given a new lease on life with the addition of a full kitchenette, cozy and comfortable furnishings, and a bar table for working and dining. Got a chill? An electric fireplace will do the trick and provides that cozy ambiance you're looking for when traveling from out-of town. Don't be fooled - small space solutions are abundant, as Murphy doors open to reveal hidden storage space. A relaxing retreat for out-of-town guests!

The design team laid out the main Foyer, Leasing and Clubhouse designs to be distinctly modern with layouts and finishes to appeal to the high-end renter. The Foyer features a Beasley & Henley created reception desk to mimic the concept of a high-end boutique hotel. The finishes include stone flooring, stained oak wood, quartz countertops, decorative wall tiles and chic ceiling details. Furnishings are sleek with impactful, modern lighting and distinctive artwork.

Our Award Nominated project,Violet street was a huge transformation from start to finish. Our goal was to take the main floor of the house from the 80’s to the 21st century by creating an open concept living area and a chef’s kitchen.
Removing the unnecessary walls created and open concept main floor with a chef's kitchen and an island that is over eleven feet long. Storage was a concern in the previously small kitchen; with that in mind we added in some full height pantry units with roll out shelves. The pantry units flank a built in desk and glass cabinets which has quickly become the landing zone for the kitchen and the perfect spot for planning their dinner menu. We elevated the look of the desk by running the back splash from the floor right up to the top as the backing inside the glass cabinets.
The living room was also given a new lease on life. All the cabinetry was done in a white washed oak to define the living space from the kitchen; this is especially important in open concept. Built in cabinetry now frames the fireplace, giving the living room a focal point.
Violet St has now been elevated to the present time and is a wonderful space to entertain and test your culinary abilities.
Now this home is ready to be filled with many happy memories and moments.

Guadalajara, San Clemente Coastal Modern Remodel
This major remodel and addition set out to take full advantage of the incredible view and create a clear connection to both the front and rear yards. The clients really wanted a pool and a home that they could enjoy with their kids and take full advantage of the beautiful climate that Southern California has to offer. The existing front yard was completely given to the street, so privatizing the front yard with new landscaping and a low wall created an opportunity to connect the home to a private front yard. Upon entering the home a large staircase blocked the view through to the ocean so removing that space blocker opened up the view and created a large great room.
Indoor outdoor living was achieved through the usage of large sliding doors which allow that seamless connection to the patio space that overlooks a new pool and view to the ocean. A large garden is rare so a new pool and bocce ball court were integrated to encourage the outdoor active lifestyle that the clients love.
The clients love to travel and wanted display shelving and wall space to display the art they had collected all around the world. A natural material palette gives a warmth and texture to the modern design that creates a feeling that the home is lived in. Though a subtle change from the street, upon entering the front door the home opens up through the layers of space to a new lease on life with this remodel.

This family room got a whole new lease on life when it was transformed from a tradtional space into transistional one. The new distressed leather sofas were moved to the opposite side of the room which opened up the entry and made the room seem twice as big. The fireplace surround got a new look and more display area was added into the millwork surrounding the room. Add in some original contemporary art and a show stopper of a cocktail table to anchor the center of the room. Of course some chairs were reupholstered with stunning fabrics that were echoed but not repeated on the sofa pillows.

The exposed wood beam ceiling brings a rustic note to this elegant living room, which contains a curated collection of the family's treasured antiques. Pieces of the house's original first period rough wood framing are intentionally left visible throughout the house, highlighting the home's long history.
WKD’s experience in historic preservation and antique curation restored this gentleman’s farm into a casual, comfortable, livable home for the next chapter in this couple’s lives.
The project included a new family entrance and mud room, new powder room, and opening up some of the rooms for better circulation. While WKD curated the client’s existing collection of art and antiques, refurbishing where necessary, new furnishings were also added to give the home a new lease on life.

View towards the main entrance featuring a reclaimed antique door. The door leads to a small interior Andalusian courtyard, screened off by a breezeblock wall, before leasing to the entrance of the house.

After - The “Geometric Trellis” wallpaper from SK Filson gives the Powder Room a whole new lease of life! Our clients were not afraid to take a risk with wallpaper and the result is simply stunning.

Black and white carry throughout this crisp powder room: black and white marble floor tiles, black and white graphic wallpaper, and a black and white double wall sconce. Elegant white bathroom fixtures, including the pedestal sink, and a long narrow silver framed rectangular mirror bring additional brightness to this small powder room.
