Whitney natural thin stone veneer from the Quarry Mill has a beautiful assortment of colors and textures. Whitney is a natural hand-picked fieldstone veneer in a rough ledgestone style. Each individual piece of stone has some weathering giving it a variety of color and texture. Whitney falls into the ledgestone category, but it is more irregular than a typical ledgestone. This irregularity is due to the sawing process. The thin veneer is created by sawing only the natural edges of the pieces of raw fieldstone. The pieces of fieldstone used to create Whitney are about the size of a small tire but not necessarily round. Whitney is only cut from the outside edge where the tread on a tire would be. The stone retains its rustic appeal with a natural top and bottom.

This relaxing and secluded outdoor oasis showcases a custom pool and waterfall with Augusta grey and earth tone natural ledgestone thin veneer. Augusta is a grey and earth tone real stone veneer in the ledgestone style. The thin stone is a blend of split face and bedface pieces excavated from a single quarry. The split face pieces are the gray interior part of the stone, whereas, the browns and tan pieces come from the bedface that has been exposed to the elements for millenia. Augusta falls into the ledgestone style due to the smaller heights of the individual pieces. Although it makes for a more labor-intensive installation, Augusta looks wonderful with a drystack tight fit installation. The stone showcases the right balance of subtle color variation to look visually appealing but not overwhelming or busy.

Design is often more about architecture than it is about decor. We focused heavily on embellishing and highlighting the client's fantastic architectural details in the living spaces, which were widely open and connected by a long Foyer Hallway with incredible arches and tall ceilings. We used natural materials such as light silver limestone plaster and paint, added rustic stained wood to the columns, arches and pilasters, and added textural ledgestone to focal walls. We also added new chandeliers with crystal and mercury glass for a modern nudge to a more transitional envelope. The contrast of light stained shelves and custom wood barn door completed the refurbished Foyer Hallway.

This brand new home in Kirkland was given rustic appeal with our installation of stone veneer to the exterior and pillars. Echo Ridge Country Ledgestone by Boral was used to complete this project with charcoal gray concrete paving throughout the entryway and pathways leading around the house.
