Inspiration for a timeless kitchen remodel in Chicago

The 18" high raised spa has a Mexican Tile facade, Terra-cotta coping and our signature 'Tile Ledge' detail. I find raising the spa 18" allows for a more graceful entrance into the spa! Just sit and swing your legs over! Hand-painted tile also lines the waterline and raised water feature wall. A 'Sheer Decent' waterfall sheets into the spa, giving the illusion that the fountain is part of the spas circulation. The spa is also lit with colored L.E.D. lights. (The spa and fountain are completely separate systems, both filtered and lit.) You can see the mounted Jandy 'Spalink' on the face of the spa tile. The Jandy Control panel, controls everything in the yard (pool, spa, fountain, lighting & landscape lighting...). The fire bowls all have automatic ignightors and are lit with a flip of a switch. Winner of NKBA Bath in the Small Bath Category. Custom designed vanity in a 48" area includes total organization in a small area. The vanity is a lesser depth with a bump out for the sink area making it less massive in the small space. It has 3 narrow draws for make-up and a woman sundries. 1 slightly higher draw for bottles and creams, shaving cream a deep draw with a socket and storage for a hair blower, brushes, hair implements and a built in hamper. The Robern curved reccess medicine cabinet with lights, 2 side cabinets are mirrored inside out, includes adjustable glass shelves, radio, plugs and a defogger to prevent steam from the shower fogging up the glass. Notice there is a crown molding running around the ceiling in marble, which supports the mirrored ceiling without using unsightly metal moldings for support.

Awesome Norristown PA bi-level home remodel. We gutted the whole first level of this home down to the bare bones. We redesigned the space to an open floorplan. New structural framing, insulation, windows and doors, and all mechanicals were relocated and improved. Lighting! Lighting! Lighting! everywhere and it makes all the difference. Led lighting and smart switches were used for up lighting above cabinetry, task lighting under cabinetry, general room lighting, accent lighting under bar top, and all decorative fixtures as well. The kitchen was designed around a central island with elevated seating that is designed around the new structural columns required to open the whole area. Fabuwood cabinetry in Galaxy Horizon finish make up the perimeter cabinets accented by Galaxy Cobblestone finish used for the island cabinetry. Both cabinetry tones coordinate perfect with the new Luxury vinyl plank flooring in Uptown Chic Forever Friends. I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again. Luxury vinyl is Awesome! It looks great its ultra durable and even water proof as well as less expensive than true hardwood. New stair treads, railings, and posts were installed stained to match by us; giving the steps new life. An accent wall of nickel gap boards was installed on the fireplace wall giving it some interest along with being a great clean look. The recessed niche behind the range, the dry stacked stone tile at the islands seating area, the new tile entry in a herringbone pattern just add to all the great details of this project. The New River White granite countertops are a show stopper as well; not only is it a beautiful stone the installation and seaming is excellent considering the pattern of the stone. I could go on forever we did so much. The clients were terrific and a pleasure to work with. I am glad we were able to be involved in making this dream come true.

This transitional kitchen in Chapman Farms in Crofton altered the kitchen layout to create an ideal kitchen design for this family's lifestyle. We moved the sink from an awkward corner location to the expanded kitchen island, and incorporated an Allora USA undermount double bowl sink with a Delta "Cassidy" pull-out sprayer faucet in arctic stainless. This change allowed cooking to become a centerpiece of family life with the sink location facing toward the island barstools and the living area of this open plan design. We also pulled gas to allow a new gas range with a microwave/hood combination, and built a platform for the dishwasher to be raised. The family's style shines through in the design by incorporating their existing handcrafted armoire into the newly expanded kitchen space. The HomeCrest kitchen cabinets are Eastport maple in sand dollar, and are accented by Top Knobs Lund knobs in antique pewter. The multi-layered lighting design includes island pendants, in-cabinet lights in the corner glass front cabinet, and undercabinet lighting with a dimmer switch.

Crushed in Vine is an autumnal wreath cheerfully peppered with tiny red accent lights. A garland of grape leaves wrapped in warm autumn colors brings doors and windows to life or serves as a welcoming table centerpiece for feasts and celebrations. This 18 inch arrangement is operated by three replaceable AA batteries.

Our main task was the illumination of the owners’ artwork, which had a light fixture that was too close to the wall and left the piece in shadows. We moved the lighting to the ceiling and precisely spaced it a foot and a half out for a perfect illumination of the artwork. Conscious of the client’s clean aesthetic, we ordered switch and dimmer plates in the same palette as the wall color for inconspicuous placement. We also created a more integrated, intuitive control panel for our clients, putting all the lighting on the first floor into a simple control panel and requiring just one button for different settings like “Welcome,” “Morning,” “Evening,” Entertain,” and “Off.” Our new design beautifully lit the client’s prized artwork, and better attuned the lighting to their lifestyle.

Classic design shines bright in this simple 23-inch high marble lamp. It has a 12-inch wide, grey, linen drum lamp shade that delivers ambient lighting.
