When choosing a darker cabinet color it is essential to have some lighter accent points. Here the matchstick backsplash on the side of the kitchen and the marble slab backsplash above the range add visual interest while brightening up the space.

Gylden æra embraces the timeless elegance of Scandinavian minimalism in a compact apartment. By streamlining layout and materials, it creates a serene, deliberate environment where simplicity speaks volumes.
Every detail is intentionally crafted—from the seamless integration of functional areas to the uncluttered circulation paths. The design presents a visual calm that enhances both daily living and quiet reflection.
Soft woods, matte surfaces, and warm neutrals anchor the scheme. Subtle use of light tones amplifies natural light and expands spatial perception. Textural variations—like woven textiles, fine-grain wood, and matte finishes—add depth without compromising simplicity.
Minimalist lighting design—wall-mounted fixtures, linear pendants—complements the space's architectural rhythm without drawing attention away. Strategic layering of natural and ambient light enhances mood while maintaining visual clarity.
Gylden æra feels both peaceful and poised—moderated yet expressive. It captures a balance of restrained luxury and everyday comfort, honoring Scandinavian roots.

This open-footprint kitchen has a modern, industrial feel. The design choices are anchored by the hot-rolled steel, open shelving display cabinetry to maximize space while allowing spectacular views of the Long Island Sound. The slab-front cabinetry with stainless steel pulls in the kitchen and dining area is Rift Oak with a grey/white cerusing and features grain-matched cabinet fronts for a cohesive visual pattern line. The counters are topped by Black Absolute Granite with a Venetian finish to add texture. The owner chose SubZero Wolf appliances and the highly popular Galley sink along with upgraded walnut drawer and cabinet inserts to make the space truly functional. The bar area showcases twin 86 bottle wine coolers with refrigeration and ice drawers, along with a linear glass tile backsplash and frame-only drawers on the upper wall cabinets for a sleek look.

Inspiration for a large contemporary master multicolored tile and porcelain tile porcelain tile and gray floor bathroom remodel in Seattle with shaker cabinets, dark wood cabinets, a two-piece toilet, gray walls, an undermount sink and quartz countertops

Reception seating at the Airoptic Research & Technology Office in Wysogotowo, designed by STUDIO KONDE Konrad Idaszewski Architekt, creates a dedicated lounge area for visitors, informal meetings and waiting.

The reception area is part of a larger office interior design project near Poznań. It shows how an interior architect in Poznań can use furniture, materials and spatial proportions to give a commercial interior a distinct character.
Blue upholstered seating, natural oak wall panels and a dark rug establish the main visual language of the lounge. The composition is simple and symmetrical. A large media screen provides the central focal point, while the seating creates a clear area for conversations and informal meetings.
A three-seat sofa stands along the left side of the room. Its blue upholstery has broad side panels and softly rounded edges. Matching armchairs are positioned opposite and alongside it. Slim black metal legs lift the furniture above the floor and add a light detail to the substantial upholstered forms.
At the centre, a low coffee table combines a pale oak top with a rounded blue base. The softly curved corners repeat the geometry of the armchairs. Its compact form leaves a generous gap between the surrounding seats and keeps the circulation around the lounge unobstructed.
Behind the furniture, large oak panels cover the entire wall. Fine horizontal and vertical joints divide the surface into a regular grid. A black wall-mounted television sits centrally within the composition and creates a strong contrast against the light timber. The simple media wall gives the reception seating a clear visual focus without additional decorative elements.
A large dark brown rug defines the lounge area and visually connects the sofa, armchairs and coffee table. Its mottled surface adds subtle texture beneath the smooth upholstery. On the left, large green plants stand beside the glazing and bring natural colour into the restrained palette.
White door frames and glazed openings remain visible around the timber wall. They connect the seating area with the circulation routes and other parts of the office. Daylight entering through the glazed entrance brightens the space and highlights the natural grain of the oak.
The ceiling continues the office's restrained architectural language, combining a dark grid with integrated lighting. Linear illumination around the perimeter provides an even glow across the seating area. Oak panelling, blue contract furniture, a dark rug and carefully planned circulation create a cohesive reception lounge within the Airoptic workplace. The project reflects STUDIO KONDE Konrad Idaszewski Architekt's work in office interiors, commercial spaces and furniture arrangements for contemporary workplaces in the Poznań area.

When a husband and wife team of professional botanists wanted to remodel their cramped, 1980s-era bathroom, we naturally looked to the forest for inspiration! With the expert help of Elite Construction Services Inc., we opened up this formerly segmented space (the toilet and washer/dryer were in a separate area from the shower/tub and vanity) to make it feel larger. A controlled, muted color scheme further enlarges the room by connecting all the planes, and serves as a neutral backdrop for a calming spa experience.
All the materials speak to my clients’ love of nature. The custom wood vanity with tower and coordinating mirror frame are made so the grain lays in a refreshing horizontal pattern. The porcelain field tile is made to look like limestone with shadows of sediment and fossils. Other elements add to the feeling of a walk in the woods: long-format porcelain tiles of falling leaves cascade down a wall and blend into a stream of river stones that roll across the width of the space. The open, curbless shower with a hidden linear drain invites users for a cleansing respite. Sleek, modern fixtures and a wall-hung toilet enhance the clean, soothing look of this organic, tranquil bathroom.

Beach Grove Social transforms a dated 3-bed, 2.5-bath into a modern, moody home made for entertaining. Vaulted cedar ceilings and triangular clerestories bathe white oak and graphite finishes in soft light, while a linear hearth anchors the open living–dining core. The reimagined kitchen hides the daily clutter with a concealed appliance garage and a grain-matched door to the laundry, keeping surfaces calm. Full-width sliders dissolve the boundary to a terrace designed for gatherings. Three new bathrooms—each tailored to its user—pair refined materials with serene lighting to deliver sophisticated, restorative spaces.
