On the exterior we removed the existing damaged and deteriorated stone cladding and replaced it with new modern and durable materials. The two-tone siding creates a contrast and variation while highlighting certain areas of the façade. New large windows throughout bring in more natural light. The new angled and custom made windows help accentuate the sloped roof lines and midcentury character of the house. Clear story windows were added at the high roof to activate what was originally a largely visible blank wall and bring more light to the 2nd floor. The front and rear decks were rebuilt and a sunken patio was created at the rear for more functional outdoor space.

This fourth-floor condo kitchen remodel was completed after the homeowners experienced water damage while away. Thompson Remodeling developed a galley kitchen design featuring clean lines and plenty of storage. Special touches included matching the cabinetry to an existing file cabinet that was to become part of the adjacent office area, special storage for dog food in the peninsula, and leaving an area above the cabinets to display the owner's quilts.

Maria & Paul wanted the guest bathroom updated with a new layout that would feel brighter and more functional. The goal was to replace the old tub and shower setup with a walk-in shower and bring a clean, fresh look to the space. The existing bathtub, wall tile, and countertops were removed, and damaged drywall was repaired to create a solid foundation for the remodel. A custom walk-in shower was installed. The shower floor features Vecchia Calacatta Penny Round Mosaic tile. For the walls, Smooth White Matte 8x24 tiles were chosen in a brick lay pattern with Schluter Jolly bright white edging. The niche was reframed to give more space and lined with the same mosaic tile for a standout detail. This addition brings both functionality and design, breaking up the clean white wall tile with texture and contrast. A Delta Saylor Matte Black shower fixture stands out against the white tile, while a sliding rain glass barn-style door with matte black hardware provides a clean entry. The original cabinets were kept and paired with Miraggio Duo quartz countertops and an oval white undermount sink. A Delta Saylor Matte Black widespread faucet was installed, and above it, a Wayfair Lark Manor Waxter framed mirror was mounted horizontally. The new shower brings style and convenience, with crisp white tile, penny round mosaic, and matte black fixtures as standout features. The vanity now has a polished quartz surface, framed mirror, and coordinated finishes that complete the transformation.

At first sight, this Victorian tiled pathway in Palmers Green, N13 did not appear to need too many repairs, with just a few obvious broken and loose tiles to be fixed. On closer inspection however it became clear it was in need of a deep clean and fresh seal. To start, we applied Tile Doctor Remove & Go across the entire length of the pathway to break down and strip off the old sealer and provide an initial clean. In the more stubborn and difficult to reach areas where we saw the buildup of efflorescence, we applied Tile Doctor Acid Gel to neutralise the alkaline salts. Acid Gel, as the name indicates, is a pH1 blend of Phosphoric and Hydrochloric acid in gel form, making it easier to apply to tricky areas, including sloped or vertical surfaces. Users should be aware not to use this type of product on acid-sensitive stone such as Limestone, as this can cause etching if left on too long. Once the dirt and efflorescence buildups had been dealt with, I focused my attention towards the tile repairs, quickly realising that the extent of damage was greater than initially thought. Firstly, the numerous loose and broken tiles were removed and individually cleaned in a similar way to the rest of the floor. We then repaired the sub base ready for the existing and newly sourced tiles to be re-laid, before leaving the floor to set and dry overnight. The next day, the pathway was grouted, before being sealed with Tile Doctor’s colour enhancing, impregnating sealer, Colour Grow to bring back the life and character to the Victorian tiles. I was also asked to renovate the Edwardian hallway tiles in the house so once finished with the pathway they were deep cleaned using a strong dilution of Tile Doctor Pro Clean. This also helped to break down the old sealers and waxes – followed by a careful cleaning of the grout lines using Tile Doctor Grout Clean Up in combination with 3m black pads and detail brushes. To ensure any pre existing sealer was completely removed, I followed up with a steam clean and left the tiles to dry overnight. Upon my return to the property the next day, I completed re-grouting in the necessary areas, before sealing the tiles with five coats of Tile Doctor Seal & Go, providing an aesthetically pleasing satin finish. Seal & Go is a topical, solvent-based sealer which forms a layer of durable protection on the surface of the tiles, protecting against dirt and stains. The hard work invested in restoring these two floors certainly paid off, as the client was exceptionally pleased with the results, going as far as to leave the following feedback: “I wanted to restore my tired Edwardian tiled hallway and was given Rob Voyce’s contact details. I was very impressed with Rob and his team; they were very professional and friendly. The dining table was changed to a Peruvian Limestone from the original teak table three years after the initial install. Teak requires regular maintenance and the elements damage lovely finishes. Limestone is a beautiful alternative. We also reduced the dimensions of the table to allow more space for dining and flow.

Full exterior replacement on this Branson property. We tore off the old roof, installed architectural shingles, and wrapped the building in vertical metal siding. The stone base stayed, so the goal was picking a siding profile and color that worked with it instead of fighting it. Clean vertical lines against the stone gives the whole building a much sharper look. Metal siding holds up well in the Ozarks. It does not rot, it handles hail better than most materials, and it takes almost no maintenance once it is up.

Our clients had significant damage to their finished basement from a city sewer line break at the street. Once mitigation and sanitation were complete, we worked with our clients to maximized the space by relocating the powder room and wet bar cabinetry and opening up the main living area.
