Every element of this project was carefully chosen to meet the requirements of functionality, aesthetics, and durability, creating environments that reflect the client's taste and lifestyle. Our attention to detail and ability to listen allowed us to transform this villa into a true masterpiece of interior design, combining contemporary elegance and tailor-made comfort, even in a context as demanding as Saudi Arabia.

This lovely craftsman style home provided the perfect blank slate for us to elevate with our clients' personalities. On the "must haves" list was add color, make it approachable and cozy, and keep the sunshine pouring in. The front rooms open to each other, so creating a flow connecting the spaces was important - however, giving each space its own twist was priority. We selected a bold red paint on the exterior of the front door and a classic, chevron-patterned, textured grasscloth for the Entry to set the stage. Lighting and furnishings were layered in for added pops of color and functionality. The Living Room furnishings were selected to maximize seating and relaxation. We delivered on color with the addition of an uber comfy, lime green swivel chair and placed it bordering the Living Room and Dining Room so one could join both conversations. The Dining Room walls were painted a moody blue to create a backdrop for chic dinner parties and record listening sessions. Reupholstered vintage dining chairs brought their own stories to the table while a custom made buffet stores oodles of board games and records. Custom window treatments in both spaces added the necessary privacy while allowing the sun to shine through and create the perfect sunny spots for their sweet dog to nap. Adding in artwork provided the fun punctuations in these two areas. When my client mentioned that she loves to sit out on the deck with a cup of tea and listen to the birds sing, my first thought was - let's have them join you inside! We reimagined the Breakfast Nook seating and created a custom banquette to perch on amongst the sweetest bird themed wallpaper. The Breakfast Nook's color palette of olive green and saturated orange paired with the lovely natural light is calming and perfectly reflective of our client's disposition.

A media wall can be more than a TV on a wall. DAGR Design listens to what the clients main objective is and designs with style and functionality in mind. Camp Wobegon is a nostalgic waterfront retreat for a multi-generational family. The home's name pays homage to a radio show the homeowner listened to when he was a child in Minnesota. Throughout the home, there are nods to the sentimental past paired with modern features of today. The five-story home sits on Round Lake in Charlevoix with a beautiful view of the yacht basin and historic downtown area. Each story of the home is devoted to a theme, such as family, grandkids, and wellness. The different stories boast standout features from an in-home fitness center complete with his and her locker rooms to a movie theater and a grandkids' getaway with murphy beds. The kids' library highlights an upper dome with a hand-painted welcome to the home's visitors. Throughout Camp Wobegon, the custom finishes are apparent. The entire home features radius drywall, eliminating any harsh corners. Masons carefully crafted two fireplaces for an authentic touch. In the great room, there are hand constructed dark walnut beams that intrigue and awe anyone who enters the space. Birchwood artisans and select Allenboss carpenters built and assembled the grand beams in the home. Perhaps the most unique room in the home is the exceptional dark walnut study. It exudes craftsmanship through the intricate woodwork. The floor, cabinetry, and ceiling were crafted with care by Birchwood carpenters. When you enter the study, you can smell the rich walnut. The room is a nod to the homeowner's father, who was a carpenter himself. The custom details don't stop on the interior. As you walk through 26-foot NanoLock doors, you're greeted by an endless pool and a showstopping view of Round Lake. Moving to the front of the home, it's easy to admire the two copper domes that sit atop the roof. Yellow cedar siding and painted cedar railing complement the eye-catching domes.

This bathroom was done in historical Meridian Kessler. The design is inspired by already existing Arabian style arches in the doorways of this 100 year old house. In staying true to the period of the house and being that it is the master bathroom we went with tuxedo color theme. we used traditional white subway tile on the walls with a black and gray listello border that highlights the contour of the arch before continuing to wrap the perimeter of the bathroom along it's baseboard. This design was an exercise in listening to the house.

At the water’s edge, this dry-laid patio is situated in a lawn panel under a new grove of elms. It offers a quaint space to relax and listen to the surrounding nature. Walls and plantings help give a sense of enclosure in the middle of a large panel.

This busy family needed a space where they could keep all their shoes, jackets, backpacks, hats, mittens and sports equipment from cluttering the floor each day as they came home from school. They also wanted a homework zone where the kids could focus, have a flat surface for writing and that also contained charging stations for their laptops and tablets. Jeff Auberger listened to their needs and came up with this solution for the family. Now each child has their own cubby and area to do their homework with these custom built cabinets and work zone.
