Wow! What a “Great Room!” This phrase, taken in both its literal & literary meanings is one of the best ways to describe this amazing project. “Great room” def: a large room in a house that combines features of a living room with those of a dining room or family room. Check! We designed this project to extend the livable space of the house. With its wide A Frame porch, it allows for ample space to gather around the fireplace, relax in the mid-day heat or simply sit & marvel at the craftsmanship. We held nothing back on the detail, using reclaimed barn wood to create gorgeous beams, crown molding that wraps around the room, and custom curved detailing in the open gable. Reaching out to the side, we enter an intimate dining space featuring a built-in kitchen, a vinyl pergola & continued the stonework over, tying everything together! Lighting throughout the job was picked out by the homeowner & installed by our tech’s Plus, we built it with low maintenance products; Timbertech decking & Keylink aluminum railing – meaning, there is no sanding or staining!

We provided the design for this bedroom to library conversion. By opening up the ceiling and going into the unused attic space, we were able to create floor to ceiling library shelving that finally housed this academic's literary collection. Original transom windows in the attach as well as three floor level windows let in lots of natural light for working and reading.

The fireplace wall was streamlined and clad in white glazed brick shaped tile. The former fireplace insert was replace with this new streamlined unit. Custom floating walnut shelves and television nestle in the niche to the right. Photography by 22 pages

The Kitchen has been opened up to the Living Room and the city and mountain views. The walls, and wood windows have been painted white, new Ann Sacks tile in two tone white at the back splash and an amazing eleven foot island serves as preparation and dining space.

New double doors lead to the Master where an accent wall in vibrant green anchors the headboard and new chandelier coordinates with the bed linens. Window coverings are kept minimal and consistent with the rest of the condominium allowing the million dollar view of Mount Hood and Union Station to shine. Photography by 22 pages

Formerly a second bedroom, new eight foot reeded glass pocket doors open the space into the Foyer -lighting up the entry. Modern squared baseboard and trim are replaced throughout the apartment. Photography by 22 pages
